I was doing some fender elminator stuff this evening and i was unplugging the rear signal lights i found this gi-normous plug. What is this plug for? Sorry, i'm a bit of a noob when it comes to these newer bikes. My 03 didn't have this kind of stuff just floating around. The plug comes from under the front seat (the big black one sticking up in first pic) and into the back seat section. It's in the pics below.
Thanks,

It connects the flux capacitor thermofocular tube relay! Seriously I have no idea, maybe an accessory lead hookup? Does anything look like it connects to it?

Sorry, what's PRM mean? (pro racer mode?)
I think diel would probably know what the plug is for.
I'll take a look this afternoon and see if anything looks like it plugs into it. Just found it, so :dunno
When i saw that white plug in there it reminded me of the zx-6r jumper mod (more power) but you would think it would be on schematics somewhere and surely it couldn't be that easy. I'm just a noob throwing stuff out there.

You are going to have to search for PRM, it is a highly classified secret.
More then likely that plug is for Diagnostic purposes if it doesn't hook up to anything. Could be to reprogram the ECU or something like that.

Actually, yeah that probably sounds right. I'll search for the PRM.

The US bike doesn't have that. But I looked at my Euro harness and it does. Not sure what it is, could be a connector for a diagnostic computer. I am looking for an Euro wiring diagram at the moment.

This is were the alarm connections are, Yamaha have now made it easy to fit an alarm to your bike. there is also a plug under the riders seat to. I have a datatool c4 red which I fitted to my 09 R1 no more cutting into the loom.
