Its nice to see him back!! I'm sure this is short lived as he has no support for his bike but as a fan of his I'm happy for his second place finish!!!

I am actually happy to see Rossi finish without points because how boring would it be if he takes off with the championship so early in the season. This will probably lead to more aggressive racing in the rounds to come. Lorenzo seems fast!

I'm glad to see Melandri get on the podium, I hope to see melandri get more support for his team and bike.

hard to conclude much from that race. It never fails to see a Kawi near the front when it's wet out, though. I don't know what it is, but that bike is a mudder if there ever was one.

I dont think the rain meant much. Guy pitted early and then still grew his gap in the dry. He was fast(er) in the dry too. Props to him...

melandri rode a smart race. even in a dry race he would have finished near the front. maturity goes a long way in the points.

im watching it finally! put it off in the sense that its usually boring and wsb is more intense.. but this race has got my attention! its so funny that with moto gp we dont seem to care about the racing but about the superstars.

I do kind of agree with that. In a way I like seeing Rossi and Spies leading, and way out in front. However, I think I'd rather see the whole paddock battling out for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. The year Stoner totally ran away with the championship, at least from what I saw, I lost total interest in MotoGP. Not saying the dude isn't good by any means, but I was amazed how he went from racing on the LCR Honda and crashing all the time to winning a championship. I find myself wanting to use the excuse he has an extra 100-200 CC's, but he doesn't so it must be the bike and skill right? I was disappointed in the change from 990cc's to 800cc's, and I feel that they should go back to 990cc's. Would that make MotoGP more competive? I'm not sure, but I do know Nicky Hayden sure dropped off a bit after the switch. Not saying he was winning a lot of races before, but his consistency has definitely dropped to the back of the pack. I'd like to see the two American's and the Brit get up there, but I don't think that's going to happen. Is it the engine size, the bike set up, or the talent of the other European riders? I'm not really sure, but the season's not over so we'll see. To the O.P. Melandri is doing pretty damn good. He was good on the Honda, but had some bad luck on the Ducati. The guy does have talent though, and rightfully belongs in MotoGP imo.

Agreed... Best race I have ever seen or charge I should say was Tony Elias. He won that race and forever has Rossi's respect. Rossi said he was riding like 'the devil'. He had a good season but it was fairly random. Point, I would love to see fools sliding sideway in front of each other into corners. When I hear riders spewing about really looking at a top ten it makes it anti climatic. I also understand that a rider field that equal is unrealistic. Again props to Melandri and Elias then who by heart, god given talent, and balls they have to roll around in a wheel barrow, we are not worthy... :yesnod
