Side panels removed, top fuel tank bolt removed (near steering head) but the top half of the upper fuel tank won't come off. The manual looks like there are two tabs under there holding it on but it does not specify which way you have to move it (I'm guessing forward or backwards) so I'm at a loss as to how to get this off. Does anyone know? 09 R1 btw. I'm careful about these hidden tabs because on my ninja the first time I was removing a panel I broke the tab off and I don't want to do it on this bike. any help appreciated. (I tried the seach button but they were not very specific to my year) Thanks!
