cant wait to see the results TK FTFW 06-03-2009, 05:55 PM are you going to dyno it right after you finish installing these or after with more mods? diel11 06-03-2009, 07:03 PM xxx KLW 06-03-2009, 07:08 PM 1.5k for some 4 aluminium cups?:dundun:
Actually that's a bargain IMO. Your not only buying the machined parts, but all the research that went into the race design.
Look at it this way. You could always spend $600 bucks on some 2 Sisters slip on pipes and what do you have? A 09 R1 with loud and cheap $600 dollar 2 sisters pipes. $600 more bucks gets the variable stacks. When looked at it in that light, I would easily pay that price.
Nothing is cheap about this game.

For example, if I have a full Akra exhaust and my bike is getting 155hp at the wheel then these new parts would take me over 160hp, right? Do you have the YEC part number?
Is this it? MGC-02100-80 If so, I see it costs almost $1400! I'm interested to see the results... TK FTFW 06-03-2009, 09:17 PM its not always about power junito. yes hes pumping out more power but i think its the build of the bike thats exciting. Now its my turn, TK FTFW speaks the truth!
FWIW, I don't see diell suggesting any others should run out and spend 1.5K on YEC stacks, he is just sharing with us his experiences with him. For that we are fortunate. :bow :bow diel11 06-04-2009, 05:54 AM xxx kneedragger101 06-04-2009, 11:28 AM Well $1,400 isn't a crazy amount of money to get some additional performance.
Diel, I have a full exhaust on order. I'll be adding a PCV or Bazzaz. I'm installing some better forks and lighter wheels. If I have 2k more to spend on performance what would you consider to be the best was to spend that money?
Thanks! diel11 06-04-2009, 11:44 AM xxx TK FTFW 06-04-2009, 01:25 PM diel is the man. spends the time to carefully help us answer our questions! kneedragger101 06-04-2009, 01:34 PM I would get an Euro ECU kit from someone overseas. You can get exhaust, stacks, cams, etc. but until you de-restrict the bike at 5k and 12k, you are almost wasting money. If the bike is mostly street, then by doing the euro kit you will retain all the street features. You even gain one that was mentioned on the latest Roadracing World magazine article about bike thefts. You get an immobilizer, so unless they pick up the bike and put it in the back of a van, nobody will be able to hot wire it. One of my contacts overseas has one kit left and I am going to get that one for Muahman here on the site. I have been asking others to see if more are available. I can ask around for you but keep in mind it's the IOMTT week so it will take a bit of time to find out.
If you do the euro kit then I would also get a set of Tim's cams, they will help greatly with the top end and no yec springs needed.
diel11, is this the KIT ecu or the Euro regular ecu? You can use the KIT ecu with the stock bike right? Does that derestrict it? How much can you get a Euro ecu for? Will it have mph for the dash? diel11 06-04-2009, 02:16 PM xxx kneedragger101 06-04-2009, 02:26 PM I didn't know that the YEC ecu would eliminate the need for PCV and autotune. good to know... Does the YEC ecu replace the oem ecu or are they both used? diel11 06-04-2009, 02:28 PM xxx FOZZ 06-05-2009, 09:05 PM Old kit stack porn.
