Removing the fork cap

Anyone know how to remove the fork cap? Manual says to loosen the nut circled here, but the cap moves freely. I tried using the preload screw as a counter to the nut, but it won't break free. Also, we have to use a really flimsy wrench on the nut due to the flaps protruding down from the cap, so the wrench is slipping when I apply significant pressure in either direction. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i163/811Racer/springs001.jpg

Never mind, we got it. The cap was on WAY tighter than recommended. And yes, you do use the preload adjust as the counter when removing the cap.

Ah the joys of buying a brand new $12,000 motorcycle, then start taking it all apart. :) Glad you got it. Nothing worse than turning on something that's suppose to turn and doesn't want to.
