Error Code 15 on with the 09R1 PCV connected with zero map after installing and riding for 50+ miles. Removed TPS wire bike runs fine, reconnect TPS wire bike starts, but error codes as soon as throttle is moved. Removed PCV completely and everything runs fine. Any ideas? PS also already updated to latest firmware from PC site. Only mod related is a 3/4 yosh slip on. Thanks in advance

So i ran the diagnostic mode and check the sensor but it came back within the ranges from closed to wide open throttle. Came back 16 closed and 100 WOT. I am sending back the PCV to dynojet to be checked out. Now the code is gone, but it seems as if the bike hangs/hesitates when rolling on in any gear. It also seems like the throttle position indicator bars are not registering properly as I can have the throttle open and have no bars showing...any ideas

Manual says it should have a resistance of 1.2-2.8 k. Positive on white wire, and negative on black/blue wire. If it tests out correctly, I'd trace the wire forward to the ECU and make sure its not loose.

I guess I have to remove it from the throttle bodies to test the resistance?

I didnt have to. Just have the bike on, but not running. Also, another little fact I discovered. The TPS PC has you connecting to is actually the Accelorator Position Sensor. The TPS is on the right side under the air box. So the voltage I gave you probably wont help. I'll look up the APS range for you when I get home.

I have had error code 15 before and its an error dealing with your signal from your throttle down to your ETV sensor. Be very careful not to damage the white wire going to the Etv plug when you tap into it with the grey wire from the PCV. I tightened down too much on mine and cut the wire. My bike is still not running like it should. I have no power band. anyways, I faught with the PCV forever until i got it up n running. make sure the power light comes on when u turn your ignition key. If no light then check your ground. I recommend using the neg. battery post. U will also get error code thirty something if the power light doesnt come on. Next check to make sure all your plugs are tight and your grey wire is secure with the tap to the white wire. one way to check is to go into the diagnostic mode on your bike. this is done by...................... hold the select and reset buttons with the key off continue holding them together and turn ignition to on while continuing to hold select and reset for 8 seconds. DIAG will appear on the screen. now hold select and reset down together for 2 more seconds and you will enter diagnostic mode. the first thing u will see is D1:01. turn the throttle all the the way back and the value on the screen should be 111 or greater. if not then a wiring connection is not good enough. I even had to get a new ETV sensor, of coarse it was under warrenty.

Bike has been sitting at the dealership going on 4 weeks now as they cant figure out whats wrong with it. I removed the PCV and sent it back to Dynojet for them to check it as well just to cover all angles, but I dont expect to get anything back from them other than its working fine on their test bike. The bike will start up and run like its fine with the PCV removed, but I can't rev it past 9k in any mode as it goes completely flat, but I don't get any error codes since removing the PCV. I ran through the diagnostic mode and everything was within ranges according to the manual for the TPS and APS. I checked all the wiring and made sure that there was continuity on each wire to the TPS harness. If I find out anything more I will post it up.

Yeah dude I had the dealership try to say I need to spend just under a grand and change the wiring harness out. Well I'm no mechanic but I am a electrical tech trained by the U.S. Navy. I read an article about the same conditions with the 08 model and alot of guys changed out their fuse for the etv and though it wasn't burnt out it was damaged and solved the problem. I will let u know if there is any luck.

well I changed the fuse and my bike is running alot better. i wont bullshit you and tell you it fixed everything; however, i have alot more torque and the tach. is going all the way to 14.5 grand.

redninja - I heard of a similar problem and it had to do with the upper injectors - bike would not rev past 7000rpm. Ran thru the diagnostic mode to fire each upper injector and problem was fixed. May be worth a try.

heard back from dealership today and they say they think its an issue with some fuel line. They have already changed the TPS as well as the APS and the fuse and they were ready to put in an entire new throttle body, but they said the fuel line fixed the issue. I dont think its a fuel line, but if its fixed, I am not going to complain. I should be picking it up tomorrow or Saturday so I will post up if its all sorted.

Finally got the bike back and fixed. Dealer said that the main fuel line was getting crimped when the tank was down, and causing fuel pressure issues.
