Jem-Designs - thanks for the images on the other thread; I made some comments on a few of the images. Although while I'm still thinking about it, I really would like to see the side profile wolf (lower right) in place of our current decal. I think it would be simple & bold enough to see and identify while passing by on the road, at speed (he-he-he).

No problem here. As far as I'm concerned the matter is dropped. I've got a spare set of current stickers and will look into reproducing them; I tried this last weekend but the graphic stores were all closed. I'll keep at it!

I went for a short ride down 53 last week. Got a little sideways trying to slow for a turn when I hit some leaves and pine needles. I still need a new rear tire. Did Eddy ever say why he needs a new bike?

Hooya, wet leaves and pine needles will drop a bike pretty quick! :bash I usually try to pick a line through the leaves even though it may not be the best. Too many times I placed the front tire on a leaf and felt the front slip ~ I hate that!

Hey Doug, I got my stickers in the mail yesterday. The video looks great. I couldn't get it to work on any DVD players, just on the computer. Is that how it's supposed to work? It worked great on the computer.

So I finally talk to my local graphics shop about sticker prices and they confirmed what I had suspected. To make one set (3 stickers) costs would be astronomically high, on the order of $21 for each sticker. This price holds through to about 10 sets ~ yikes! Apparently they're a high volume shop and the good prices don't kick in until about 20 sets.

So I'm throwing this out there for discussion. Anybody got any better ideas? Or does everyone have them and it's a non-issue? In the absence of any new ideas I will order a new batch but it may not happen for a while, Gee -- new tires (or fuel for trips) or stickers .......hmmmm..... :dundun:

I swung by jaykreide's workplace and talked a little w/him about it. awesome about the dyno readings btw!:jump the guy at the shop said that he can make any number you would like and any color you would want. he said it would be about 4 bucks a sticker or so based on the pictures I took of the ones on jaykreide's bike. He would like a pdf file that he can get more info from based on size and shape before he really gave out hard and fast pricing tho. the email is sales@vsbsigns.com if anyone wants to pick it up from there.

Sticker update: my Corvallis supplier has changed the process. Vinyl is too costly, but has a 2nd option for the same price. The only draw back is they can’t make white sticker, which is super popular. Xnakedrider is checking out another supplier.

I know what you mean. I have a "Raven" Suburban and I don't want any stickers on it either. Maybe just put one on your helmet or the speed hump on your leathers. Or you could put a black one somewhere inconspicuous like Jackal said.

Ah, I thought they had to be visible and in certain places or something. If I can run it on my helmet I dont have a problem at all. Or up under my fender, hehe.

I will try to make a couple of different designs so we have some choices... what color are we wanting to get them printed in? and what kind of run do we want? if we agree on 1 and i van get them for the best price, i will take care of buying them... would you guys be interested in maybe a dual color anniversary sticker? i was thinking of maybe looking at trying all the color combos over the years of the R1. I think it will be easy to change colors, for examples, after the designs are done. so let me know what you guys think.

It won't boot and the disc that came with it says there it an error. I am doin everything I can to get it too boot without having to wipe it all out and start over because I have some pretty cool stuff on that laptop that I REALLY don't want to lose. I just need to get a burned XP pro boot disc and I will be back up and running. Sounds easy enough, right? Well trying to find 1 without having to buy it is the kicker... lol So I will get on it as soon as I can, I PROMISE!!! I am not trying to ditch this project by any means, just running into some snags BUT I WILL GET THIS SOB DONE!!!

Well I have been so busy with work, I haven't had a chance to fix my laptop. OK all, Got my laptop back up and running, not well but good enough, and have a sticker idea almost done. I just have to finish a few details on it and copy it off in a few different colors so we can take a look and see what we like if any. I also have the other designs from previous and I will post them also. Hope to have them done and posted sometime tomorrow or the next day. And then my wife can talk to her person to get a cost of how much it will cost to print them, to see if they are cheap enough to change. I will also get a cost on the old designs and we can decide what we want to do. I am shooting for this weekend to hopefully have ALL of this done. How many do we want to look at getting for a batch and do we have preferable colors or do we want some of each (black, red, white, blue, silver)? let me know...:dundun:

OK so I didn't number them so just figure out which one you like and then count over from left to right top to bottom like a book... lol but the top ones that are all the same with different colors are just to give you an idea of what they would look like. so they are all the same so count them as #1...

Depending on how we want to mount them it may be advantageous to have them printed on a transparent sticker.

I'm envisioning keeping the black where it is and making the white part the void... Or maybe toning the black part to a shade of grey maybe a smoke or graphite to accommodate the void look on black bikes.

The black or colored area on any of the stickers will be the vinyl and the white will be open. I am still waiting on prices. What sizes do we want, about 3" maybe? and we will probably get a few different colors because black or grey may not appeal to somebody with a black or grey bike so we could also do like red or yellow. I was also thinking maybe doing a "retro Yamaha color" think and making the inner part yellow and the outer ring black or vise-versa. But I am open to whatever.

from post 107, I like the 1st sticker (wolf paw prints), it's simple and has a good look. The 2nd (I believe) is being used by the Timberwolf Squadron.

From post 106, those are cool but the multiple background wolves make it busy, I would suggest a single background wolf, sized up, like the howling wolf figure.

What would be cool, if you could inset the Yamaha symbol (circle & tuning forks) inside the border circle of the wolf paw sticker, with Yamaha symbol in the background and the paw print & squadron number in the foreground. Is that doable?

Sorry haven't gotten any notices saying that anybody replied to my posts. So I am going to check online every few days. I am going to be working this weekend so I can't mess with it until later next week or next weekend but I will see what I can come up with. I should be able to do something kind of cool like that. The reason I was going for busy was trying to do wolf"PACK". all the others are all kind of like lone wolf style... lol But I will see what I can do about the paw and yamie logo...
