Wow. What an awesome product! I received the FC Hyper Optiks yesterday from MotoWheels.com, and today I took the time to test it.
The anti-fog capabilities of the product are as advertised - my visor did not fog up at all - even when it was completely closed at stoplights. Normally my visor fogs up considerably in stop and go traffic, so much so that I normally just flip it up while in town. Not anymore. Excellent.
As for the light sensitive tinting, it also works very well. While it was not very bright today, it seems to change predictably and appropriately for the prevailing conditions. No more changing visors for day/night riding!
The insert does not noticeably change the optical properties of the visor, which is a good thing. I had clear views from all sight angles from within the helmet, and it was never distorted or blurry.
Installation could not be easier. The thin membrane is surrounded by a thin, sticky foam gasket that adheres to the inside of your visor. Once affixed it stays securely attached and does not interfere with the opening and closing of the visor.
There are two kinds of FC HO, one for Arai visors, and one for the rest. I have an Arai, and the membrane is preformed for the visor vents. Fit is perfect.
Overall, I highly recommend this product! It will definitely make my life easier! NO MORE FOGGED UP VISORS! :cool:
