Jackal, how are you planning on getting over there? I've heard nothing but good things about ORP and I'd like to try to get out there once this year!

Harabec ~ I'll be truck & trailering the bike over. I know a few riders that have been there and rave about the track. It's a real road course!

As it stands right now ~ yes I do! If you want it, you got it. Are you signed up to go on the 26th?

I'm not at the moment but I very well may if you have room for another! Who is hosting the trackday? 2-fast doesn't have an ORP date for the 26th and ORP's official site doesn't list much.

Palatov Motorsports is hosting the event. They are a smaller company that limits the number of bikes on any given event, thus giving more room to play and test different lines. I had to have another rider vouch for me since I've never been to the track.

Don't forget I'll be at PIR on July 7th through 2-Fast for their track day as well, kind of like a warm up for ORP.

Oh, cool! Well in that case I'm going to wait and see how everything goes on the 7th (I should definitely be there for that trackday) and at that point make a decision about ORP on the 26th if they still have room. Seeing as its my first trackday, I'd hate to leap into something a bit over my head since the Palatov group seems like a more experienced bunch.

I hear that! That's why I'm going to PIR first, to get my feet wet ~ sort of speak.....

You guys haven't ridden PIR yet ?

It's a pretty simple track so a good one to get your track cherry popped at

Yup! I will be at ORP Friday night and riding both Saturday and Sunday. I will be in a hugh white Artic Fox camper on a white 09 F450. Stop by and pit with me. A bunch of the PNWRiders.com guys will be there too.

I just spent 4 days at PIR (thursday thru Sunday) for the OMRRA event. It basically rained the entire time and I crashed on Saturday between turn 2 and 3, I hit the rumble strip and spun out. The bike took hardly any damage, I mean I was really luck, got the bike retech'd and was able to get into the restart (a bad crash in turn 8 stopped the race). I had DOT tires on the bike because the track was dry just before the start, but it started pouring as the race started. I took 5th for the NV4 class on Saturday, but took 3rd for the NV4 class on Sunday. I got smart and kept the rain tires on for Sunday.

I've done quite a few ORP track days and it's quite fun. I believe they are going to run CCW on Saturday, and are thinking about CW on Sunday (they will make the call this weekend). I prefer CW myself. The weather forecast looks great for this event as of now, although it can change quickly, but I believe it will be a great weekend for this event.
