I second the "How To" on the Yellow Box, and add what ratio do you set it for on an o2R1 with 2 up in the rear??? ~A

How about a short how-to with pics on installing your back wheel by yourself? I finally figured out how to do it without assistance but for rookies this can be a challenging feat.

I got many more!!! This is one of the best sections of the site in my opinion. Nothing like helping a brother or sister out. And brings out the creativity in all of us.

The throttle bodies/carb synch is a great one! How about a carbon fiber muffler repacking how-to? I was told today by Ron at Pipecity.com that the packing in carbon fiber cans should be repacked every 4000 miles at the most or you risk melting the resin portion of the carbon fiber due to thermal breakdown of the packing.

How about a how-to on a fork install or change out? I'm gonna do this in a few days. Perhaps I'll take some pics. Seems pretty straightforward but I bet there are some gotchas.

How about a how-to on respringing and revalving forks as suggested for us bigger guys? Or general fork overhaul?

how to lube cables is dead easy - no tools required. Just get a piece of polythene punch a hole in the centre, push cable through the hole and wrapp tightly around cable - using an elastic band to secure. open the top to form a polythene 'funnel' with the cable at the bottom and then squirt some 'WD40' or similar(releasing oil) and allow it to drain down into the cable. I like the "how to" lube your cables idea. I'm a visual learner so pictures are always worth a thousand words for me... Some other basic "how to's" that might be good for newbies would be "How to tighten your chain" (even though you can read about that in your service manual), again, the cable lubing, change brake pads, I liked the "how to apply decals" idea, and that's about all I got for now. These are relatively easy subjects to broach, but I think they're some of the most common things we do (or need to do) for our bikes so it couldn't hurt to have some discussion on it. :-)

How to on how to get people to check this section for how-to's, instead of having 5 or 6 posts asking how to do it every week or so. Example: changing '02 - '05 running lights into blinkers. I like helping people out with anything I can, but sometimes you end up posting the same info over and over. Not that bad, but it seems better to have the info easily accessable by reading one thread. I understand there are new people all the time, and it takes a bit to get used to how this site works, so some sort of way of letting it be known that there is a place to look first. Just my .13 cents.......

WOW...this section is confusing. How about making this for only How-to's What the point of people asking maintenance and technical questions here, when there is another section for that.

I would certainly appreciate a sticky: "Cleaning your bike 101"... I have tons of questions and let's all be honest, cleaning a bike is fidly work and takes a lot of time that we could be riding instead! * Everybody could give tips and pointers on how they clean specific parts of the bike, like the topic on chain & sprocket cleaning which already exists. * Als which are good products and less good products to use. Which will harm the bike and which won't,... How about it?
