OEM 208L's

I was lucky enough to have won a set of Pirelli Diablo tires on another forum recently :rock That said, garage space is getting a bit tight, so I'm giving away the original D208L tires that my '02 came with. They have about 300 miles on them, look a little heat-cycled, but are otherwise in new shape. I personally think the 208L's are cr*p, but hell, you can't beat the price, and a lot of you seem to like 'em, so... Anyone who wants them must post a <50 word piece here describing why you should be the recipient, and agreeing to cover actual freight costs from SoCal to wherever you live. I'll pick the winner based on originality of message, with earliest posting breaking any ties. POST AWAY, AMIGOS...

Why you should give ME the tires... (begin) Cuz if you do, I'll let my fine ass girl do some of the NASTIEST things with you! She loves rubber, and she can twist in ways I haven't even seen rubber be able to bend into. Oh, and did I mention she cooks and cleans? (end-46 words) ---for real---I think if my girl heard or saw that, I'd get my ass kicked. I was kidding about giving her up, we just got engaged. I made sure she knows her place as far as my bike goes! And I was definately kidding about her cooking and cleaning! :p ---- But I could use the tires too. :)

Tires are the basis for all that riding a sportbike is all about, it is neccesary to have good tires for safe riding, and I would like you to help me ensure my safety. I should get the tyres because: I want them to experience all they can in their short lifetime. I will provide a good home for them and feed them lots of asphalt and twisty roads. They will get to test their intestinal fortitude at Deals Gap in May. It will be a mutually beneficial relationship. 49 words :jump

i would like them because i can use them. i usually get around 4000 miles out of a set of tires and go through a set or two every year. i have given in the pay-it-foward before:fact . i will give again weather i receive the tires or not.

i would like them because i need them right now, i am seriously thinking of getting rid of my bike because i cannot afford to update my gear, service the bike or even get tires, i have made great sacrifices to keep my bike which i do not care to discuss on a public forum (no i didn't ho myself out sickos), pm me if you wanna know more i truly love my bike, actually i love riding it but i love it less now because she sits idle most of the time because of shot tires, wore mine out in less than 3k miles, no stunting just riding hard and enjoying The One i used to surf and skate and my bike is the only thing that gives me that same feeling of being at one with something that being said i am too proud to accept them for free so name a price and i will see if a can match it i have ridden hard and have gotten extreme and way out of shape riding with friends many a time, but riding at The Pace and feeling the bike underneath me and everything she is doing, the sound, the wind, the engine at different revs, the suspension compressing, feeling the tires at the edge, the tilt and pull of a turn, the flip flop of a tight s curve, the squeeze of the brake lever and the twist of the throttle, that is why i ride ah that was somewhat cathartic more than 50 words too but whateva, just needed to vent because i think the one is on the way out to find an owner who can take better care of her, i'll just buy a cheaper used one btw: thats very generous of you to offer your tires for free, nice going

I am a die-hard Yamaha rider. I'm not about to make up a bullshit story just to score these tires. I would love to put them on my bike, plain and simple, and would appreciate you taking me into consideration. Thanks.

I would like to receive these tires because mine are about worn out. This way, I can have a fresh pair of tires for the upcoming season and maybe hit the track. I will also be doing some state to state riding and am looking forward to racking up the miles on my 02. Plus, I like the dunlops, no matter how much people bitch about them:)

i would love to take them off your hands:jump i got my bike this last summer and 2 weeks of owning it i got a frigin nail in the rear!!!! i spent soo much puttin a down payment on it that i didnt have enough to buy a new one so i road it with a plug all summer!!! just had a kid (now 2) kyle, and summers around the way and it would be great not to have to buy new ones!:D i would be willing to pay for shipping and i have some goodies to post up as well!:rock wileyco slip on (carbon fiber) or stock rearsets !!

Brad could use the tires for this reason, he is buying a set of chrome wheels, but he needs tires for them, you are his answer. He could have both sets. Stock black, and chrome both with tires. OR 1 heck of a deal, if Brad gets the tires, and his chrome wheels he will goodwill the stock tires 3300 miles, with a little something something(hint, possibly the wheels)

I will use the tires for approximately 30 seconds which after 30 seconds there will be a loud boom as the rear tire explodes in an endless cloud of nasty smelling smoke and completely shreds itself hopefully not entangling too much around the rest of my beautiful silver r1 :D :D :D

This was a very hard decision, but the winner is: DaoTan Though you guys all had a lot of compelling reasons, I can't stand the thought of an R1 brother selling his bike for lack of tires.
