WolfPack Squadron Ride, 2-23-03

Great day to ride. Finally got to put some faces to names. And met some cool new people. I took a few pictures but they mostly of everyone standing around. I honestly though there was only going to be about 6-8 guys. While we were riding I counted 21. :eek: It was an amazing sight to see... 21 of us rolling down the roads of the NorthWest !! People would just pull over and wait for us to pass. :cool: Right as we pulled on to the 405 from our meeting place I saw about 5 different riders pull wheelies, of course they were lead by AdamGeek and Prizefighter. I just hung out near the back to act as a safety net .... yeah.. that's it ! It was a great day to ride, COLD THOUGH, thank god Adamgeek had "will wheelie for boobs" t-shirts with him, that helped fight the chill. And Unknownpharoah did a SMOKE show on highway 18 at about 65 miles per hour, good reflexs on Zorgen's part he barely missed Unkownpharoah as he headed for the side of the highway. We discovered that his front brake locked up on the freeway. Anyhow, we all survived and that's what was important. **Side note** Jasonc was the only one lucky enough to witness my 1st gear wheelie as we merged back onto the highway... oh yeah.. it was cool ! :p :p :crash Anyhow, here are some pictures. UH oh !!!... Just got a call from Darkside, Tidbit went down. Good news is he is OK. Bike took a beating though mainly cosmetic. Give us a update TIDBIT !!!

TS02R1, dude could have said something and I would have posed. Damn I have a messed look on my face. All in all it was a great ride and really good to put faces to names. Next time we should advertise about the ride and see how many show up. Darkside

TS02 man that's just wrong to show those. :yesnod Acutally it's cool that we have guys that do pictures so we can see everyone after the ride since we wil probably forget by the time the day is over. NO_6 man you missed some good times hopefully we will get you out one of these days, however it was good to see you for a little while at least.

LOL "Man Toe!" Too bad you couldn't make it out Patrick. The ride was great... what I could do of it. It was really nice meeting everytone and getting out into the rare SUNSHINE!

Well, I decided since it was so nice out to go out for another ride. Met up with 02R1Phreak (Trey) and his buddy Josh. They showed me some new roads that I'd never seen before. Good riding.. so much in fact at one point I went off the road. (Good thing I have dirt bike experience) It was fun. I even worked on my chicken strips a bit. I'm about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch from removing them all together. Practice... Practice... Practice... Here's a shot of Trey. (I need a better digital camera :( )

Fortunately its only Feb and you've got a good 3 months before summer to get everything back in order. But, No 1, you walked away. Thank god for that!! I had a close one too. yah... i had that happen to me.. but the ****er decided to do a endo right infront of me.. took a nice hard countersteer to get out of the way.. missed him by inches.. man if i hit him.. I woulda been pissed MAD

Oh Man TS02R1 you guys make me so mad....I wasn't able to get out and ride I wanted to really bad but Daddy duty called and so I couldn't. :( Hopefully this weekend will be nice and I can get out and ride a little. I'm looking forward to warmer weather where we can just get squadron members out on a ride and have fun. Large groups are fun but small groups are fun too. There where so many guys I didn't even meet everyone. Next time Darkside

i have to call my dealer tomorrow.. and get a quote for the 3 parts i need... hopefully it wont be too much.. here's hoping :beer

i'm my own personal dealer.. :D.. my DEALERSHIP i bought my bike from.. Has always taken care of me.. But maybe in this instance.. I'll have to look elsewhere.. Mike at McCoy's is getting back to me on a price.. I'll see what my "dealer" can do (they dont charge me tax.. dunno why).. vs Mikes prices... oh and i'll give that one store a call.. Kai, let me know when you want to start putting your bike together. I still have Patrick's dremel. We can put it to good use drilling the heck out of things. How about installing some strobes inside your headlights, like that one dude. Looked cool as heck.

i'm thinking about doing a lense cut-n-paste job.. :yesnod i'd go for the strobes... but I got siltch for money.. the front section.. is pushing 500 in repairs.. tail was cheap tho :-D

yeap it's heading up that way. some times you just have to make a sacrafice for the group. I know that when we do Windy Ridge it's a slam for you but it's almost 1hr to get to where you are.

I'm in. I'm sure you will have to roll down here to do St. Helens this year a few times. Thats a haul for all you north enders. If I can just convice TSO to roll up for that long ride with me so I"m not bored stiff!! I can crash at Western U with a X gf of mine so its all worth the trip:boobies

I am hereby releasing Todd from work on saturday. It is in my proffesional opinion he needs 2 days off with 1 full day of riding to cure him from his sickness.:fact

i Agree..... and i have another "casual" ride for everyone..... this would be more of a relax road with twisties (low speed non knee dragers) to a beautiful photo shoot.... here is a pic of last year when i took the one up there...... let me know what you think.... this place is called electron..... its South of Orting. no.. they all stopped... and tried to help get my bike out of the ditch... then they all fled before any of the cops came.. :P

I would love to go for a ride but I can't do it on Saturday. I have more than enough sick leave at work but last year I only missed 4 days of work on the whole year. I have already missed once this year because I had the flu. (Damn flu shot didn't work) If you guys can do it on Sunday then I would definitely be in. But if you guys roll on Saturday then I won't be able to attend. :( Can't you guys go on Sunday..... Pppppplllllllleeeeeeaaaaassssseeeeeee !!!! :yesnod

TS, Others may be able to roll on Sunday however I'm unable to due to some other stuff (Wife orders) to do that day. Sorry.....

Hello "Wolfpack". Enjoying the nice sunny warm weather we're not having? Well, this message is actually for "Tidbit" and also for everyone else here. I'm the dude who took those pics of your baby when you went into that ditch, I guess I'm the only one who took those pics so if you guys wanna see 'em, I want 50 bucks............j/k! I'm also the guy on the blue 2nd generation R1. I heard about the "R1-forum" ride from another local bike forum, the **riders. I didn't get a chance to meet every one as there were so many people that day and I am really shy :bs . Sorry it took me forever to post this but I was just 'busy' and I just registered here today. Hopefully on a good day I can hook up with you guys and go riding again. Although I'm from another 'club' [see my profile] I still enjoy riding with a bunch of good riders, especially the "one's" with the R1s!!

I was out there that day too. But I took off after we all stopped at the Meat Market ! So I didn't get to see Tidbit go swimming ! It's a reality check to see the pictures after reading about it on here. You are now the Wolfpack's "Combat Photographer" !!! :p

...last one folks. So as you can see Tidbit was very lucky that day, well, lucky in a way that he only had minor damage to his bike and he was actually okay and even tried to pull his bike out. I hope you guys don't think I was being a dick not doing anything and just taking pictures - I actually did help to pull the bike out at the very end. And also Tidbit I hope you don't mind that I posted these pics; I thought you guys would 'enjoy' them. Peace.

Welcome! Thanks for posting the pics. Come by the next Wolfpack event and get to know everyone. Funny, the bike doesn't look that bad in those pics... compared to the one that Joe and Rated-R took the other night, with the entire nose of the bike off.
