Hey guys! It's freakin' awesome here in Jersey! I hit my 500 mile break-in within the past 2 days! I've been riding 202, 17N, and am looking forward to heading up to bear mountian. We've got to get together soon. I'm not sure what this weekend is going to bring, but maybe we could all meet up. I see that a bunch of guys from GIXXER.com head up to New York State.

Let me know if you guys are going to be around this weekend and which day would be better.

Hey my name is Nick Im 18 from Westchester County (right above NY city) and i ride a 02 b/ R1.
I ride every sunday with about 10-15 Gixxers and a couple R1s up to Bear Mountain to hit up the twisties. These guys are fast but we all wait up so everyone can hang( for you guys who are breaking the bike in). Meeting time is 8:30-9:00 on the Hutch Pw.

Hey NICK - That ride sounds great. I'm keeping your number and will come up with a few guys one these up coming weekends. I'm near Newark NJ. So it shouldn't take more than 45min to get up by you. Hopefully this weather holds up for the weekend.

For Sandman or anyone else for that matter dont think twice about giving me a call. This weekend the 28th is going to be looking cold but dont forget the sunday ride will be going on all summer. Along with those great corners up at bear mountain we some time stop by Danbury super sunday. I cant think of a better way to get ideas for mods and add on's. It would be a good idea for some of you NJ guys to come up so you can head home together at the end of the day.

Hello to all the NY/NJ R-1 riders. I've been lurking for sometime now, but thought it was about time to get more involved in the group. Who amoung us participates in track days and with which club? A good riding bud, who has a GSXR-600, is a member of Team ProMotion. NESBA is a good group too. I've been a member of both over the years. I was hoping to meet most of you at either group street rides or track days.

Sup everyone!!!! I just found this section and hope to ride with you guys soon.

A few of us will be hitting some twisties in sussex county on monday (leaving from The green in Morristown) if anyone is interested leave a post in here and I can give you more details. We will meet at 12:30 pm and leave at 1 pm sharp. Hope some of you can make it.

Eman......Thanx for the excellant ride yesterday. Sorry, I couldn't stay for the last few good roads. I made it home in 40 minutes from High Point (new world record) but still caught hell from my bride. She'll get over it...I'll lay on the Ol' Mr. Smoothie love talk and she'll melt like butter ;-) Everyone rode real well, and were fun to hang with...a good time.
My bike is now at Rt.15 Honda getting the 600 mile service, so I'm down for now. But I'll catch up to ya'll soon enough.

SANMAN.... I've been a member of both NorthEast Sportbike Association and Team Pro-Motion over the last couple of years. Both of these clubs use a number of tracks around the East coast, Mid Atlantic, and down South.... too many to list here. I've gone to mostly track days at Pocono Raceway in PA because I'm only an hour door-to-door from it. I've also done the Penguin Racing school up at New Hampshire Int'l, otherwise known as Loudon.
Both track clubs offer beginner, intermediate and advanced groups so you ride with people who are of similar ability. The idea is to improve your riding skills.
There are track monitors to help individuals who might not be at home at speed on a track or for those who want to learn how to go faster. It is NOT racing. It IS a safe enviornment to go fast and practice skills which make you a better, safer street rider. Learning to corner or use your bike's brakes at their limit on the street is just plain foolish. SANMAN Part II..... Everyone is very cool and helpful at the track clubs and I've made some very good friends there. I can't say enough about how much fun it is to ride a sportbike at full speed without having to worry about being hit by a car, slip on gravel, get stopped by the cops or any other street hazard you can name. Look into it, you won't be disappointed.

You can also pick up a copy of Roadracing World magazine (great racing coverage) and in the back they list many of the other track schools and clubs around the country for people not in the Northeast.

widowmaker... I'm shooting for the NESBA track day on the Pocono East course on Sept. 8th. Reduc has a day in August as does NESBA and Team Pro-Motion, but I can't make them. If some of you New Jersey R1 riders want to think about setting the Sept. 8th NESBA date aside and try out track riding, I'm willing to hook up with any first timers and lend a hand, if needed.
