This year we are moving the center of the event to a newer section of Fontana Village. They call it Stonehenge due to the stone structures and fire pit layout. Should be a lot nicer at night for the gatherings..

Over there... Dan will be allocating the cabins as close as possible. Get everyone signed up and spread the word and in a few weeks we can look at placements... We have it worked out pretty good now though.

Like Shane said, we've been looking at equivalent cabins in the nearby area. While Shuckstack has been nearly traditional for us, even with a smaller crowd it was getting congested up there. Plus the cabins are due for (and Fontana is following through) renovations up there.

Myself, Shane and Lacey from Fontana worked on this for a while, and we think it will be for the better.

Sorry Kevin. I couldn't help it. Well, it looks like we all ready have 5 for the cabin. Are we going to get a three bedroom and try to get a few more people or settle with 5 in a smaller cabin? Just trying to keep the costs down if we can't find anyone else, but then again, we have plenty of time.

It's a hit and miss on the traffic. There are plenty of places to ride as well so you won't be disappointed.

Nah, I like Ducs. I am just not a v-twin fan. 4-cyl screamers are my fav. though the cross-plane of the 09-10's is not too bad either.

yeah the cross plane is a nice mix of both worlds but im an inline fan as well. I hate the dry clutch noise more than anything....sounds like its ready to fall apart lol

No, the frame and motor was parted out. Other parts here and there, try to stay away from wrecks. The owner upgraded to the 1198 for the TC. I've got ohlins front and rear, a BST front with Braketech iron rotors. Now just finishing up the rear.

Is there any dirt ridding rides planned for this year? I was asking this on the R6 site but not much responce. Id love to get some good trail ridding in if theres anything close.

Also need to know if theres a big ride planned yet for Blood Mt. & if not we need to plan something if anyone wants to go.Im gonna make the ride there this year no matter what so if anyone wants to get a ride planned lets set it up.

So me and my neighbor are coming to the gap for the whole week this year for sure but we are both college kids with limited disposable income and so we've come to the conclusion that the only way were gonna get in a cabin around all the other forum members is if someone is willing to split the cost with us....we have never been to the gap so we dont know how cramped these things are but honestly were okay with shacking up like a bunch of hippies(We got air mattresses to sleep on and thats a perfectly fine sleep arrangement for us.) PM me if you or someone you know can work this out with us, if not were gonna be making a custom shack in the back of a pickup lol....(but seriously we'll do it if thats what it takes)

Be sure to specify you are with our group when you call Fontana. In addition to getting our rates, it lets them know how many people we have coming. This is important for Shane and I to negotiate with them. Please don't forget.
When you send food/shirt money, please specify days of attendance (if not the full week) and shirt sizes in the PayPal notes. I will email each person back as confirmation. Double check: we all make mistakes. What I put on the spreadsheet is what we'll order, and we don't want to run short on sizes.
I will update the lists on both Forums after I have verified the info on the spreadsheet and confirmed with each person. This will often be much later the day you pay, or even the next day. Please be patient. The spreadsheet is what counts; I will catch the thread up.
In the event that Saturdays attendance exceeds 100 people, the first 100 to pay will be the ones covered by the sponsors payment. The moral of that story is please don't try to be the last person to pay. This is, of course subject to change as Shane and I work out ways to cover more than 100 people for the Saturday meal.

The cutoff for food and shirt funds is rapidly approaching (April 23d). If you haven't paid for you food and shirts, please do so as soon as the opportunity arises. If you pay after Thursday, 21 April, there will probably be a delay in getting a response as I'll be at CMP this weekend.

After I record your payment you will receive an e-mail confirming what you've paid for, and/or asking for money if necessary (please don't forget the PayPal fees). After I record your payment, shirt sizes, days for meals etc, I will change the list to reflect paid. So don't be too concerned if it takes a day or two. The email response is the important part.

Also, if your plans have changed and you'll be unable to join us, please post in the thread, or send me a PM. Shane and I need to start getting the numbers straight for planning.

I know that's why I brought it up and hoped some one might have an amp and some speakers they can bring. I will have my laptop with tunes as well as what others might have and I will play DJ or just click a playlist for some background tunes.

Heads up everyone... The Wednesday group ride has evolved! BIG TIME. This year we aren't visiting a dealership. Myself and Chuck Graves will be leading a ride along with Team Zyvax racing owner JB Layman from the gap through the Elijay mountains then a quick trip down 575 to Kennesaw, Georgia where Yamaha's eastern distribution center is.

We will be given a lunch courtesy of Yamaha USA and a tour of the facility and they are arranging prizes as well!

This is a huge deal and doesn't happen often. I'd like EVERYONE to head over with us. It works out to be a 2.5 hour ride if I remember we'll stop in the middle.

Signs ups will update on the main page of the sign up thread.

I bolted some 55w fog lights to the front and bolted in a tailight. zip tied a plate to her and off I went. Never got a ticket for the 30 miles I drove it.

On google maps it tells me 14 hours (last year I did it in 12) and from Boston it says 16... :)
