LESS THAN 100 BUX NOW >>> You don't have to buy the whole the flush mounts now you can just buy the *new* "Flux" LED boards from www.graphicartmotodesign.com for $59.99 :rock You will have to e-mail or call them to get them. ************************************************** ****** How To Integrated blinkers for LESS than $100 ****** ************************************************** 1st: Use the same steps as Daekwan did in his how to Thread "How to: Samanna Systems Amber Dancer Taillight LED Mod" (http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=29475) 2nd: I left my tail light on my bike while I worked on it. Take a knife on Razor and score the tail light lens where the clear plastic meets the black plastic. Or cut a little notch in the side and stick a screw driver in and gently pry open. 3rd: I had bought a pair of the clearflux LED flushmounts (http://www.graphicartmotodesign.com/lights/flushmounts.htm) and did not use them. So I took the flushmounts apart and took the "Flux" LED boards out. http://www.graphicartmotodesign.com/lights/ledclosers.jpg http://members.core.com/~krydz/Pictures/R1/Tailight%20Mod/Flux%201.jpg 4th: With all of my tail apart I used Silicone and Siliconed the LED's in-between the LED brake/tail lights on the bike. 5th: I drilled a small hole in the black plastic behind the OEM brake/tail light. Then I ran my wires out and wired the flushmount wires back into the OEM blinker wires. I just let my Flushmont wires roll over the edge of the brake/tail light board (see pic). 6th: See pics. the black tape in the middle dose nothing I was playing with how it looked behind the clear lens. 7th: Put it back together!!! :rock http://www.interiorsbyshannon.com/2mexicanwave.gif

How much space is in there between the lens and the circuit board? I have a similar idea and need about 3/4 inch.

wow, good idea, so you just used silicone to fasten the led's to the circuit board of the original brake light?????

Here are a few more pics. If you look you can see a little darkness where the LED's are behind the lens.

Hey CuNqrt That looks grate!!! Glad I could help out a little !!! Mine is a little hard to see with the brake lights on also. Most of the time I just make sure to trun the blinker on a few sec. before I brake but, Ive always been one to use hand singnals too.

That is what I was originally going to do but I thought if I blacked out two or four of the stock red led's it would make a difference and it really does. I blacked out two upper and two lower and it made a world of a difference. Your idea kicked ass when I came across it and I saved a ton of money that I can apply to something else on the bike. Thanks Again !!!

I was looking for more info on these lights and found these http://www.radlites.com/led_strips_boards.htm I wonder if they will do the same thing, for even less.

They are 4" long and that is a bit big IMO. Also, I don't think the three LED strip would be bright enough for motorists to see. The 9 LED may be sufficient but they cost more than the GA LED's cost.

I found that you could not see the turn signals during the day very well and decided to install the CustomLed board. I must say this was the best decision I have made in a long time. It is very very bright and you can see it during the day and with the brake light applied. I must recommend the CustomLed tailight, it rocks :D

Hey Hot Rod- how are the LED tail light turn signals holding up? Could you post a picture with the rear turn signal on with the brake light on also? I would love to do this mod. I was going to get the amber dancer but would rather do it myself.

If one of my friends cames by I could get a pic for you can't do it by myself. The lights are on there with silcon. There not as good with the brakes on. So I took my back brake switch lose and when I slow down I use my back brake at 1st so you can see the signal a little better. I always use my hand signals most of the time anyway. They have better kits out now but there are a little price'e. You may can buy a set of signals at your local car parts store now. Most of them have the trick Mods a stuff now!!

I thought the same as all of you - Do it myself and save $$. Trust me, the extra $60-80 you spend to get the Samanna System is well worth it. He strips your current board and uses a new circuit board to fit his individual led clusters (just like stock) and adds external resistor packs to keep heat minimized. Also, his circuit cuts the taillight LEDs when blinking to make the amber stand out even more! He also uses nothing but the best products (3M) to re-attach the wires, and to re-seal the light housing. I was BLOWN AWAY!!

do you have to use the Libertek with these to slow the blinkers down? Thanks

Looneybomber

bmiller, i would imagine you would, using the LEDs jacks your impedence all up. I dont think the stock relay would work for ya.

:rock Here's how mine turned out! I can PM a MPEG movie of them in action also - Let me know! I DID get the Libertek Flasher relay - It's really cool being able to adjust the flash rate with just a small screwdriver - No matter which mod you do to any of your blinkers, this will help maintain the "Looks-like-stock" integration we're all looking for. http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=57816
