Wolfpack Squadron "Chatterboxes?"

Well, I just picked up my Chatterbox X1 from Mike at McCoy Motorsports. I got my wife a intercom set up for her helmet too. Anyhow, does anyone else in the Wolfpack Squadron have a chatterbox? Now that I have one I need someone to ride with and talk to. Joemt has an X1 also, but doesn't quite have his R1 out here yet. In the mean time I guess I'll be using some of it's other features like the Cell phone hook up and the radio hook up. :cool:

TS02, I have the HJC-FRS have 2 units one for me and one for my wife but she has stoped riding so I may have a second unit to loan. I don't know what the compatiablity is of these units are from unit to unit. Do you know?

How do you Like it... I found mine to be a pain in the ass..but was using it with a shody helmet so i got alot of wind nose.. damn thing kept reading it as me talking on vox.....

This is what he explained to me. The X1 is a 2 watt system and a X1 can communicate with any other X1 on any channel. The X1 can communicate with the X2 on channels 1-7 only but the X2 is a 1/2 watt system so it won't be as clear as communicating with another X1. The X1 can communicate with the FRS Multi-Sport on Channel 1 only. The FRS Multisport is a 1/2 watt system also so the clarity won't be as good as a X1 to X1 set up. So yes, we'll be able to communicate but on Channel 1 only. He also said that the FRS Multisport only offers 2 channels. Is that correct? Yamaholic, I haven't riden with mine yet and I haven't tried to communicate with anyone yet. Once I get a chance to try it out I will let everyone know. I did buy a hookup for my wife which consisted of a Noise reduction mic and headphones and a intercom cord that plugs into the back of my X1.

Ok time to rehash this since the weather is improving. Who has them and who doesn't?

I dont have one. I would like one. BUt I can't shell out 200 bucks for that wheln I am getting my bike painted in a week or so

The multi sport will work with the x1 in two diferent channels chanel 1 on the multi sport is the same and channel 2 on the multi psort is channel 8 on the x1. The two diferent ones together work just fine as long as the x1 is not on a sub channel. the multi sport can also use music and a cell phone. the multi sport will work with a 2 mile range and the x1 is a five mile range i believe. every one i rode with in the seattle tacoma area has chatterboxes. just wait till you are riding by your self and pick up others on there walkie talkies. you can chat with them aslo. if you are filming video someone with a hand held motoral or whatever brand can talk to you guys also from a car or from where ever. makes for a great cop watcher perosn.
