Alpinestars Venom opinions?

A little background, my riding experience comes from a couple years ago when my friend left the country and lent me his Kawasaki. The riding I did was all city streets in traffic and the only real gear I used was a helmet... I thought a long sleeve shirt and jeans was good enough. Anyway, now I am looking to get an R6 and most of my riding will be on the interstate between Flagstaff, Phoenix, and Tucson. Although I don't plan on doing any racing/track stuff, I kind of figure that with that much time on the interstate maybe a good leather suit would be a worthy investment, so I am asking for opinions on the Alpinestars Venom suit. Is it too much for what I plan on doing? Also, being that summer is coming soon and the temperature in Phoenix and Tucson gets well above 100, does the Venom suit offer enough venting to keep me comfortable or is there something else that would be better? I am trying to stay around the price range of the Venom if possible. Thanks.
