Hey now you going to make me cry up in here:( Most of the guys I ride with here are either Gixxer or 1's though we do have a Honda guy also(but we won't hold that against him...much) As long as it isn't a car I work on em. Cars are like what you do between seasons/rides. Well if I don't work on anybody's bike here I am sure I will see you on the rode. Also if anybody wants to catch a ride with us for Helens during the summer let me know. Anybody going to the Daytona party at Jillians in Seattle?

From the looks of it some of us are rolling to Funsters for the Gp party there. You are more than welcome to ride up there with me. I live in tacoma as well. Even if you are sporting the Gix.

What are the specs for a valve adjustment? Are you looking for the clearances or the actual procedure? Pain in the but is what it is. Damn Yami and their need for 20 valves. And if you are going to do a valve adjustment on yours I would recommend getting new "O" rings for the coolant pipes that lead into the head. They have a tendancy to leak if you don't.FYI. Yami also stated that they were trying to get the powers that be to label the bike as nonadjustable seeing as how they put on like 25+ k miles and didn't need to perform an adjustment. Though I doubt that I would wait that long to have them checked at least.

I'll keep your information for the future. Bikes less than a month old, not much to do now but who knows what the future will hold, hopefully nothing very expensive.
Thanks.

Yeah as long as you stay on top of the basic maintenance these bikes are good. Upkeep is less costly than repairs that is for DM sure. Also I have all the manuals for all Yamaha's in PDF. Woot!
