Hi guys,
I just installed the frame slider on my R1 yesterday myself and I have a quick question. I torq them down 33lb according to what the manual says. Is is normal that you can still turn the slider by hand? Because after tigten them down to 33lb I am still able to turn the slider by hand. The screw inside the slider don't seem like its moving though as I am turning the slider. Is this normal? I really don't want to tighten anymore since the manual says 33lb. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Soundss like the plastic portion of the slider is the only thing spinning. The aluminum insert on the inside is probably tight - but just a bit too long to keep the plastic from turning.
Not a big deal, but if you want the plastic part to keep from spinning, remove the slider from your bike and take the aluminum insert out. File a small amount from the part of the aluminum that touches the bike frame. And then reinstall. Repeat the process until the plastic part no longer spins.
This is pretty common with sliders on Yamaha's. I can make a slider that fits 10 R1's prefectly and then when the 11th bike tries, it spins.
I don't know why, probably a combination of Yamaha's production tolerances and my production tolerances.
It's an easy fix though. Let me klnow if you need more help.
