on the alarm, do you have to wire anything? are there instructions? where exactly does it "plug" ?

There are 2 types of wire harneses, traditional (splicing) and plug and play (no wire splicing). This one plugs into the unit and a cord runs to the bikes wire harnes and to the battery thats it. The perimeter sensor plugs directy into the unit as well. Just mount it and your done. I've had this for years and no longer have the box or instructions, but there are how to's on this forum and you can download the instructions at scorpio's site. It's actualy pretty easy to install.

looking over alarm,

ok one end is the permiter sensor...that plugs into that main unit,

the other harness has the connections for the battery , and what else is on that harness? where else does it plug? (into the bike)


and last, the main unit whats that one wire lead? ,

Yes, the wiring on the top is the perimeter sensor. The other wiring harness (Plug and Play) has the fuse, battery connector, and the white plug is what connect the unit to the bikes wire harness. The wire that's coming out of the main unit is the antenna.

ok cool, only problem im having is finding a replacment remote (you have a link to get one?), this white plug where exactly is the plug where it plugs into the bike? arent there other plugs for the turn signals? etc? or is that only for the newer scorpios?

Thats where the plug and play harness comes in (I assume). By plugging into the main wire harness, the turn signals and tail light.
As for the remote, you might have to search the forums for a remote. On Scorpio's site they show one that replaces the SR-i500sw (not sure what sw is). I wont be able to guarantee you would find a replacement easily. However... the remote works. Buttons work, all functions work, and the vibration feature works. The outer shell is cracked (no holes) and the LCD is 75% shot. You would be getting a fully functional unit thats worth $200 unit for $60+shipping. If the remote wasn't busted I'd be asking $150.
