2002 R1 track day at Willow Springs

hi guys, i did a track day at willow springs yesterday. the conditions at the big track were excellent. approx. 80 degrees and little wind. i don't know how this new r1 compares to the older r1's in the handeling dept. compared to my Busa, this thing rocks!. i was amazed by the speed through the corners and how quickly it slowed. the effort involved was minimal compared to the Busa. the riding position was cramped for my 6'5'', but great for the track. the only thing missing was the extreme acceleration the Busa delivers. overall--i was extremely impressed. joe
