Someone needs to step up

There are a lot of great people up there in the NE, but it seems that no one is willing to step up to the line to be squadron C/O. Are there any specific concerns or worries out there? Post them up here, or PM me. Let me just say that the C/O isn't required to do anything extraordinary. Hell, if you bother to check this forum on a daily or semi-daily basis, you have enough time to be C/O. All you have to do is help get the ball rolling with things... set up polls to choose a name for your squad, to choose an insignia. Encourage discussion. You don't have to be anyone's daddy or den father, or guardian angel or anything. Most of all, these squadrons are just so that you can meet up with some of the great people who live near you. POST! BE HEARD!

So I tried and put up a post to have our name changed since no one really likes Blueliners and told everyone to pm with ideas so we can figure it out but at the same time no one replied. I don't want to be Squad leader because I have to watch my baby girl alot of the times and that means not riding like I want and not spending as much time on the forum as I would like. It doesn't seem like anyone on the east coast is very interested. Hell I would be happy with a MA only squad. there seems to be enough of us. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens. The east coast is not representing and it sucks

Yeah, it's too bad. Well, how about being a Squadron officer? All you would have to do is to call people if you want to go for a ride. Or when someone else has an idea for a ride/get together, email/call the other guys about it. Heck, as the C/O of the NW squadron, I hardly have to do anything. The guys in my squad are so active, they're always getting something going. I really consider everyone in the Wolfpack a leader.

Well, then someone come up with some ideas for the squadron name and post a poll. I'm still drawing a blank, but I will think of something soon. If I do, I'll post a poll. I agree that it doesn't really matter WHO the leader is. A list of active guys posted would be nice though, and where exactly you are from. We need to recognized here as much as the others, so lets get things rolling here.

I don't know if everyone in the NE knows about the Squadrons. I have visited the R1 forum on a semi regular basis for about a year and a half, and today was the first time i clicked on the squadron threads. The other problem is that there are plenty of riders in NE. just not all of them have the $$ or the sense to ride the most beautiful (japanese) bike ever produced.

It really shouldn't matter what you ride and good you ride. It should be about a bunch of forum members getting together to ride and represent. Spiderman get the f*&k out!!! You don't belong here.:lol :lol :lol Just kiding. You mean here? Or in this thread in general..... lol

The Squadrons are all about riding, fun and friendship--not the wheels you're on. Heck, Darkside is a very active and important member of the 011, and he was riding an old bucket for almost a year before getting back on the One. Also, if there are any concerns about dictatorship--being C/O is about being an enabler--you help other people get things going--you shouldn't be (having to) laying down the law. Recruit people! Let all your friends know! As I mentioned, I had NO riding buddies before the forum. Now I have more than I know what to do with (well, I know what to do to SOME of them :p ).
