Just wanted to say a few words as to how this new section came about.

Some of us members here were thinking that it would be great to have a section dedicated to performance builders and modifiers of our beloved R1. We all have different personalities when it comes to our bikes.

This new area is to showcase performance orientated modifications; Superbike styled bikes. Bikes with heavy engine, suspension and other performance related mods. This isn't an area for simple bolt on style bikes; we already have an area for that. This is for those that aspire to get the best out of our bikes on the track! :rock

We have the oldhead carb'd R1 lovers; we have those that will never ride anything else but the first generation F.I. model, or the 02/03s; we have those that will swear by the looks of the 04-08 models; and we have the newest group - the crossplane diehards. :)

All of us share one thing regardless of the model of the R1 we own - the love of working on and modifiying our bikes. :yesnod

We are not here to "show off" or brag. Contrary to what people might think by the creation of this section, we are here to share our knowledge, learn from each other and participate together in our love of using our own hands to create our works of art. It is meant to "pay it forward" so others can get the knowledge and inspiration they need to do the same for themselves. :)

So if anyone has any questions, suggestions or comments...post up! Most of us are oldtimers on this Forum and would love nothing more than to pass on our knowledge to the newer builders out there! :yesnod
