: Carbs GotShafted 10-01-2011, 05:04 PM OK I cleaned all four of the carbs and now I have fuel coming out off the exhaust and number 1 and maybe number 2 carb. What did I do wrong? I tapped on the number 1 and 2 also with a rubber mallet to make sure the float isnt sticking. Mark 99 R1 tonebone 10-01-2011, 08:23 PM found that when i cleaned mine, and they leaked, that i had to replace the inlet valves. the o rings may look fine,but may be old.replacing all 4 sealed her right up. I was barly able to get it to run because the carbs were so gooped up. i took them apart and just put them in carb cleaner. i took my time putting it back together. im not sure how the floats could have got stuck, if that is the issue. | ||
