Open invatation Laconia NH Race week

Not sure when I am going this year. I usually go up Tuesday night and stay til Sunday. I would be interested in riding when I am there. It is June 8th til the 16th this year. Where do you usually stay? Do you live up there? I stay at Cedar Lodge on Rte3.

But I'm game, I have some freinds that aren't on an R1 so that's fine, What are you doing at this forum if you don't have one?? Thinking of getting one? Just asking..No Biggie!! I'd like to get a huge group together, all Supersports.. for a ride, just somthing I've always wanted to do, nothing crazy, just a Cruzzzzzz...

I stay at my Mother-in-laws place, RIGHT ON lake winnasquam... the place is great, right on the water looking at the sand bar!!! got a nice Boat there too! Matt

I may be interested in hooking up with you guys during bike week. You should consider riding the Kancamgus sometime during that week. If you're not familiar with the road, it's route 112 that goes from Lincoln to Center Conway. A nice road to get to Lincoln from the lakes region and not do any highway droning is route 175. Be sure to fill up when you're in Lincoln since that's the lost stop for gas until you hit Conway (32 miles). The ride would be better mid-week since all the tourists aren't out with their campers and travel trailers. The road climbs and descends some mountains that separate the two towns. It is kind of rough up to the top, but it is very smooth on the way down into Conway. This is the only road in NH that I've ever seen a hairpin corner sign, and they mean it. I can get my knee down around it but the road is sometimes strewn with rocks when the cagers cut the corner or especially after a hard rain. The views are spectacular and there are many places to stop and benchrace along with taking in the view. I hope you guys don't know about this road, if you did I'm sorry to waste your time! Let me know what's going on as the event approaches.

That sound pretty good, Yes I am familiar with the ride, done it many times... I like to go Trout fishing up there, nice natives!! I was hoping for alot more replys to this invitation, maybe more will join in when the week approaches!!! I got a few people (No R1's tho') that are interested in getting a huge group for a ride that week, I'll keep you updated!! That ride does sound pretty cool tho, just gotta watch out.. I'm just waiting for the weekend to get closer and seeing what's going on. Extreme, Where are you in Boston? I live close. You go to Motomarket? Thursday night ritual. Then down to Mass ave. in Cambridge to the Miracle of Science.:beer Stop by some time. Motomarket closes at 8pm and off from there.

I have been going to the Weirs for about 10+ years and I went to the race track for the first time two years ago. Do you go for the week? I love watching the hill climb, that is always a trip. Especially the kids on their 50's.

The hill climb is cool but no beer sales,byob... The top of Mt. Washington is a nice ride up a bit bumpy in spots..Some nice spots on the way up to pull over and chill.Lots of cops in and around Laconia and the surrounding towns be careful!(hey what's motomarket?)

I always go to the races although I didn't make it last year. It rained on Sunday so I didn't make the trip. This year will be the first year the AMA doesn't race at NHIS so it should be interesting. The racetrack is by far more entertaining than watching all the wanna-be Harley dudes at Weir's Beach and the cops have really cracked down on the exhibitionism.... :cryin

One more thing - has anyone been to the flat-track racing at Canaan? It's AMA-sanctioned and I think it takes place on Thursday night. I've always wanted to go but I've never been (same with the hillclimbs in Gunstock for that matter).

You must be talking about jolly Rodgers flat track racing.I'd like to check it out also but it's a heck of a haul ...It's north of Keene i think.Starts at 6:30pm ..:D

Nope, I mean Canaan, NH. I know the one your talking about at Jolly Rodgers but I believe they still have an AMA race at Canaan. I'll have to check it out in my AMA Motorcyclist magazine - they list the upcoming events. I'll post the date if anyone is interested. Triplerider, where are you at in NH?
