suggest a first pair of boots for everyday..Helpgeo990 03-20-2003, 06:16 PM Hello i have been riding for a while but this season i would like to be tottaly safe on my R1. I currently ride With only an Alpine star jacket and Shoei helmut, I am looking for some suggestions of a good pair of pants and boots that i can wear for everyday riding. i am not riding sooo hard just yet but i would like to be safe.. So if you have any suggestions i would appreciate it... Thanks
Dan fade2blue 03-22-2003, 01:49 PM id go with pants that zip to your jacket and have full armor and velcro for pucks. also id get boots that have sliders and some ankle protection. i know you may not use the sliders or pucks now but race style gear generally has more safety features built in and later on when you pick up speed you wont have to upgrade your gear. that said alpine stars sells a track pant that should work with your jacket. and sidi vertebrae, alpine stars smx or oxtar evo are good boots Mackz 03-22-2003, 01:59 PM :iamwithst That's a good advice right there. :yesnod Eyespy 03-31-2003, 11:17 PM Even if he never touches the pucks down, they can provide for significant impact protection to the upper tibial/knee area in the event of a crash. | |
