Flag Patches (Good will)

So after an extensive search of various local retailers I decided that my needs were best suited over the internet. Unfortunately shipping and handling is a bear, so I decided to offset that by buying a bunch of these. I have 15 left and so the first 15 people that reply here with good intentions for their use, will receive a 3 1/2" x 2 1/8" inch flag patch for their jacket. Now, I don't care if you are for the war or against it. These are merely to show that you are proud to live where you live and where you come from. If you only want one of these flags to burn it or defame it in any way please don't reply. That is just rude and uncalled for. Unfortunately I didn't do an extensive search on other countries, otherwise I would have different ones up here so as to not seem biased. Oh well. After you reply here, wait for a confirmation PM from me then PM me your address. Oh yeah, these flags can also be ordered at this location, http://www.crichter.com/orchid/patches/americanflags.htm .

Okay, let me make this a little clearer, if you reply here, you will receive an American flag patch in the mail, free of charge. Maybe I am wrong and nobody out there wants a patch. Geez, I thought it was a good idea.

Unlike our Canadian government, the majority of Canadians support this war as well as the troops! Seeing as how I live in Canada's capital, Ottawa, I would proudly wear the U.S. flag to show my support!!:fact

I am not giving this away I just though this was a good time to show it. The FDNY gave these to all the players when they came to watch us play Nebraska in 2001.

Gents who will be displaying patches. There is an etiquette to it. I'm not going to go into all the details but make sure that the BLUE in the Flag is closest to your heart. Like rhlam96's patches... they are to be sewn on the right shoulder that way the BLUE would be closest to the heart. The Flags that JOEMT is giving away should be sewn on the LEFT SHOULDER. BLUE is closest to the heart. A lot of Military guys know this etiquette and would notice right away, so don't make yourself look like a :p . The patches JOE has could also be sewn in the middle of your back or on the left side of the chest (as you're wearing the jacket).

Easiest way to remember: the flag always goes forward, doesn't retreat. The blue goes the way you're facing. Think of it as carrying a guidon. Now put the flag on your shoulder with the same orientation as the guidon. Todd's explanation is the more technical version. Think of mine more as "Patches for Dummies" or the cliff notes. :) -Rob :thumbup
