Unfortunately, we have decided to part with one of our R1s. 237 miles, garage kept, Yoshimura carbon Tri-oval slip-on. PERFECT condition. $9700.

Where did you get the Yosh pipe? I just got my '02 and can't seem to find a slip-on yet...

I bought mine at Cycle Gear in Las Vegas while I was on a business trip. They do not do any business online. You should be able to purchase this system (or any other) at any motorcycle dealer that is a retailer for Yoshimura. They'll probably have to order it--it took 2 or 3 days to get mine.

By the way:

This bike is not for sale anymore (however, everything has a price) I have decided to keep it...in a couple of months I would end up buying another R1 anyways. :)

Was that the one that went down?

Anyways... happy to hear you guys will finally keep them! Parting with those would of been a mistake... even after going down, everybody goes down at least once... it only makes them better riders!

PrismP,

The one that went down is probably totalled--we're still waiting on the estimate from the shop and the final word from our insurance.

I'll be keeping mine--like I said, I would end up buying another one in a couple of months.

Here is a pic of the bike we're NOT keeping!

Ouch!

Ok... it looks bad! But from what i CAN see i don't think it's totalled... mmmh... or maybe it is.

Good luck with your insurance company!:fact

The picture doesn't show the damage to the frame and the swingarm. The swingarm will have to be replaced and the frame has to be recoated (at minimum) and inspected for damage. Lots of labor to pull the engine. Other expensive items: all plastics, subframe, tank, rear wheel, lower fork tubes, both lower controls, clip ons, a lot of other stuff, and LABOR.

If you want to buy something off of it, you'll have to buy it from USAA--more than likely it's totalled. We were thinking about buying back the motor and installing it in our F4i (or a go-cart...but that might be scary) As for the fenders, they're trashed also, so you could probably get them cheap.
