Anyone ride a 2003 r6? I had a 2002 r6 and the gear box was very loud and notchy. Is the new one any better? Is the R1
gear box better then the r6 or the same?

seriously everyone says they have problems with the yamaha gearbox, but spend about an hour tewakin your shifting linkage and its "as smooth as a toothless blowjob" quote taken from the forum, forgot who though

Well I have put about 600 km on my new 03 R6 and don't seem to have any problems with it. The only other bike other then mine I have ridden though is an 03 R1 and the gearbox feels the same on both bikes.

i have a yzf600 and my 03 r6 is very smooth in comparison. Reading the magazine articles, the R6 tranny is much smoother than before, but it's still not as good as say the honda RR
