Thinking about putting some type of alarm system on the "ONE". Looked all over and haven't really found anything I like. Right now leaning towards the Scorpio CYL-300 with all bells and whistles, mostly for the paging system that they have. Does anyone have an alarm system in place that they are happy with or that could give some insight into other brands?

i have an alarm on my R1 it suck´s. unless you are riding your bike daily you are going to hate too. it drains the battery in about 2 days. it´s self-activating in 5 seconds wich is a pain in the ass because you always forget to deactivate it. im going to dissasemble mine any day know. but if you have extra money to spend, get an anti laser device instead. i did it has saved me from loosing my license 5 times this month alone

the anti laser device is a little bigge than a matchbox and super easy to install. i mounted mine just under the nose of my R1, the most important thing is that it has to be the just outside the nose on the bike. it transmits a signal very similar to the one that the police use. it sends this signal upp, down & to both sides so it creates a invisible wall, thats why it´s so important that it clear of an obsticles. if you have to far back under the nose they can get a reading on your headlights. in Sweden where i live it is illegal to have an anti laser device mounted on any wehicle. but since police does´nt give out the laserfreakvensy the company can sell them as a remote controll they also sell a reciver wich you can plug in to the lights on your driveway at home the only criteria you have to meet is that you have a on/off switch at least here in Sweden. the cops always stop me if they are tryin to get a reading with laser because they know that i have one mounted they only get an error code in the lasergun. i will try to put a picture in here on my installation as soon as possible.

Are the "Anti Laser" units available in the U.S. Please Send some if not. I could really use a "Anti Laser Beam" on my bike. Thanks.

anti laser device! wonderhow that works, maybe it works out the time it takes for the beam to hit moving target and as target moves closer time taken is shorter there for working out the targets speed? its obviously not a mech device that uses mirrors and shit so it must be a electronic device that somehow reflects or absorbs the beam confusing the cop! i hear stealth planes use irregular shapes with the skin coated in a cancer inducing paint of some description to confuse radar .interesting subject. hey while we are on the subject of radio waves and jammers i will ask a question too, near where i live i have a road that only buses use and the road has a automatic barrior that lifts up allowing the bus to pass soi guess the buss must have some sort of transmitter on board that the driver uses ( button) to open the gates, i wanna duplicate his signal with some sort of scanner and replicate it thus allowing me to open said gate. i remember reading some where that the japs made this watch that could replicate and copy signals to allow tv channel change over but car thiefs was using it to steal cars while standing near unsuspecting victim using car alarm locking the car , so maybe i could use a device like this to open barriars huh?

Interesting read... I had a **** M357T installed a month ago. £350 UK pounds.. Self arming after 50 secs, but thats only the immobilser. You can press the remote (which you can build into the key, so no extra fob) to arm the alarm as well. Sleeps after 10 days with zero current drain. I went on my hols for 8 days and the bike started perfetly on my return. Never false alarmed. Loud siren. Pleased with it in general. Not sure if the same model are available world wide but worth a look at.
Over in the UK most insurence companies insist on cat 2/1 alarms and immobilisers to issue cover, so we mostly have no choice !
Although it doesn't stop the theiving *** having it, as least it draws attention, so worth it in my book. Still you need to watch it as much as u can and always lock it up when u can.
Cheers all, enjoy the ONE !!!
