unknownpharoah 04-15-2003, 09:10 PM About two weeks ago while Todd, Joe and I were riding he brought up a good idea. It may even require Todd himself to call in sick to attend:fact Here is the Jist of it.
He thought it would be cool to hit Mt.Rainier and St.Helens all in one day:confused: :yesnod Now although this task is not impossable by any means. It is however a very good test of a riders stamina. It will in theory seperate the truley "hardcore" wolfies from the mere... "mortals" of the group. Hell I may even spring for some wolfpack patches that have the pack Logo with a subtitle "hardcore rider" Ya, know like a shoulder size patch that would go on a leather jacket or your wallet or something!! I know how much Pat like trophies and prizes and such:fact :lol
So fellas.. who's up for it .. First Sat of June! Plenty of time to make the plans. I'm game if you are. Can we do it? Lets see!
:hellobye
JasonC 04-15-2003, 09:25 PM That sounds like a cool idea Josh. I would have to sched. some time off work to do that one. I may be slow, but I am up for it. I like the patch/decal idea too. Something like "Alpha Rider" under the logo (as in Alpha Male - for the top wolves in the pack). Whadda think?
tidbit 04-15-2003, 09:30 PM I'm in... Cause a bitch is always HARDCORE.. :fact
soilent1 04-15-2003, 09:30 PM :hellobye
unknownpharoah 04-15-2003, 09:43 PM No need to take time off work my friend we will do it on the first Saterday of JUNE!! heh. I will go to a local embroidery shop and get the patches made. I do need Terry to send me a good picture of the pak logo so I can have the shop scan it and put it in the computer. I'll have 15 patches made. I'm sure that will be plenty!!:lol :lol
tidbit 04-15-2003, 09:45 PM I like tha alpha male idea :fact
I wonder if Ryan is gonna join up with us :yesnod

R6 Untouchable 04-15-2003, 09:57 PM I'm in...what's the mileage of the trip? I have gone 6 hours in the saddle at one time...will it be longer than that?
Darkside 04-15-2003, 11:04 PM OK Pharoah, that trip from my house and back is 425 miles. This doesn't include a run up to Paridise. I have done the Windy Ridge run 4 times in 2001. Last year 0 times but we don't want to talk about last year.
I don't consider myself hardcore, or an Alpha Male or Member, just a guy that likes to have fun within the thin line of the law(152pmh Hwy 12 into Packwood).
However if this is what you guys call hardcore then I'm game for it. I would like an early start maybe meet for breakfast then off to tame the roads.
Darkside
tidbit 04-15-2003, 11:10 PM One condition.. I WILL not do this.. if it rains :fact
:p
You guys crack me up. I think you need at least 10 hours in the saddle before I'd consider you hardcore.
425 miles is more of a cruise.

No_6,
I didn't say that it was a hardcore ride, just saying it was a cruise as well.

zorgen 04-16-2003, 04:02 PM In spirit. I would love to go in the first week of June but I will be washing my car, mowing the lawn, weeding the garden, praying in the chapel for my sick aunt and contemplating my naval. I hope you all understand.

Alright alright, I'll try and make it, sounds like fun. There must be stops for liquid refreshment, my doctor has me under strict rules. I must keep fluids in my body to avoid insanity.
Hey Tidbit, are you still a bitch or did that label fade away??

unknownpharoah 04-16-2003, 06:30 PM I will try to figure out the exact miles from here to Mt.Rainier.. up and around over chinook to enumlaw and down to St.Helens... heh.. I think 425 miles is a very low estimate. But we shall see. I am suggesting the first weekend in June. What day is better for you guys and your familes, Saturday or Sunday? Lets figure it out. Oh, and R6 Untouchable can ride on the back of Joes bike.:fact If Craig rides the Duc I wont be behind him:fact Sounds like a fun filled full day.

Saturday is better for me than Sunday because of church on sundays. Oh, and I'll ride my own bike dammit! :finger
02R1Phreak 04-16-2003, 08:19 PM church..... lol... who goes to church anymore...... Riding is my religion!

O2R1Phreak, Riding is not a religion it is a religious experiance everytime you go and do it. I thank my maker every time that he was gracious enough to share such a sexy motorcycle with me on this day.
That being said. My pew is my saddle and I try to pray daily.:rock :rock
02R1Phreak 04-16-2003, 08:25 PM heh.... so who all here are religious... and why in the hell are you on a R1! i beleive that is a sin...... dont want to get into religious beleifs too much though..... i personaly have never been to chuch but i dont beleive in anything...... then again i dont know what i beleive in...... i just ride.... i guess my motto is " Im here for a good time, Not a long time. "
R6 Untouchable 04-16-2003, 08:27 PM I'm here for a good time, but not a long time also...but I view it this way...what have you got to lose by believing in God? If he doesn't exist, so you wasted a little time...big deal...but if he does, I sure would rather go ride the twisties in heaven than burn in hell.
Darkside 04-16-2003, 08:28 PM I agree if someone is religous more power to them I never have been and probably never will be but I won't put someone down just becuase they are.
enough of this stuff Now back to the riding
02R1Phreak 04-16-2003, 08:54 PM haha no kidding......... my bad for getting it started..... all i ask is no religious person rubs it in my face...... then i dont care at all..... people can belive in teletubbies or whatever and i dont mind... just dont try to get me to do it :)
JasonC 04-16-2003, 09:41 PM I was raised Catholic, and so was my wife. We don't go to church, or do anything religious (except Christmas) anymore. Basically, we have come to the conclusion that organized religion is a friggen joke. We still believe in God/Jesus, but in our own way. Having said that... I say a little prayer while sitting on my bike just before take off. I say something like, "God, please let me come home alive..." or at least something similar.:crash
