Ride route for first weekend of June!

We shall call this ride the "Alpha ride 03" Hopefully we can make this a yearly event and if the success of your group keeps going strong we can have a season opening day long ride each year!:fact I do say this will be a early morning meet with a strict "roll out" time so we can get it all done. This squadron kicks ass and I thank all of you for being a bunch of cool cats!:fact :rock

I hope we will all have chatter boxes... this should be a hoot. Maybe I should also invest in a radar detector too... thats alot of highway.

a bunch of us from Victoria wanna get the Port Angles ferry and ride through the mountains and come back up through vancouver, how long of a trip is this? Anybody wanna join us?

Correct me if I am wrong... it looks like we are taking 410 around to Chinook pass then going through Mt. Rainier park.... What I am getting at is there is not a Fill em' up station between Greenwater and Elbe. I don't know how far it is, but its pretty far, and probably need to ride somewhat conservatively to make it on just the fuel in the tank...

Luke--I think you're looking at about a 370 mile loop there. Sounds like a nice ride! Josh--nice work on the map. Looks good.

However there is fuel at a town about 20 or so miles up 410 so it really shouldn't be an issue if we all tank up. I know I can go from my house to chinook pass to packwood on 1 tank before I need ot tank but I wounldnt go much further. Mike

My bike goes about 120 miles on a tank...what about you guys?

Carry a waterbottle in a backpack with some gasoline in it. :lol I would do it...mainly because I don't feel like getting stranded.

Well its 81.1 mi from Greenwater (last town with gas before you enter Mt. Rainier) to Elbe. I will see what kind of mileage I will get on my next fill up. I should be fine...

I'll work on my fuel mapping tomorrow.. should be alright by then.. if not.. I always got the 250 :rock

I'm up for it. If we ride hard, you are only going to get 100 miles out of your tank, max. Highway 101 on that section is going to be mostly solid yellow lines = no passing:( and alot of cops. Date?

well i'm glad this seems to be falling into place. Thank Darkside for his mapping skillz. We need to all get up early on this day!! This means you TIDBIT.. no slacking!! Its a full day ride and then some. I figure 12-14 hours with stops. I cant wait.:fact
