That's nice guys:) I AM NOT a total fountain of undisputable knowledge about the racing scene, but my close invovement with the kid and our local OMRRA keeps me pretty current with all the racing scene right now. Something you guys are probably aware of right now is the growing rift in the AMA between privateer racers in SS classes, Formula Thunder class riders, AMA 250 gp riders and others this year. Evidently, in all their wisdom the AMA is deciding to jettison, F thunder, 250's, 750ss, and possibly Formula xtreme in order to run what they percieve to be the " real " racing classes the spectators want to see, which are 600ss and AMA SBK. Without these feeder classes I believe their programs will go downhill, and more than likely F-USA will benefit as a series. So keep an eye out for that. It's pretty tough to go to any AMA track that you haven't been to ( I'm talking about Jonah now ), have two 20 minute warmup sessions ( maybe 6 laps each on a 2 stroke ), then have timed qualifying to make the grid. It's a stupid process not having the usual promoters Thursday practices ( the AMA in their wisdom eliminated them this year:confused: ), and ultimately could be a rider safety issue. Watch for F-USA to increase in popularity if the AMA decides to become a " Factory Racer " showcase series only;) Friday's our first Novice school date and I spooned on a set of the new 208 GP's ( got a killer deal on them ;) ) I'll let you guys know how I like them after the date;)
