That's what I hear...
And unless you're into the fluff...XP isn't much worth the time over 2k itself.
zenek2k 04-23-2003, 01:21 PM Yup, heard about it September of last year....
It will suck just like XP
Magnus 04-23-2003, 01:21 PM I like XP alot... I went from 98se to XP and I have almost no problems at all with Windows now. No more BLUE-SCREEN OF DEATH.

Yeah but that was achieved for the most part in 2000. XP enhanced overall stability but Win2k is responsible for the overall stability.
UnToldFoX 04-23-2003, 03:49 PM I also went from 98 se to XP. even on this machine it runs better then XP, alothough its a little bit slower, but thats to be expected.
gistrid 04-23-2003, 03:53 PM I hate all those bubble like things in XP..ugly very ugly.but it does run better thn 98

Me too, I hated that damn blue screen!
FLY-BY 04-25-2003, 06:44 AM XP is awesome if you've got a computer designed for it. If not i.e you replace an older windows operating system, XP tends to suck. Xp's got awesome encription abilitys:fact

Tell me you are kidding.
XP sucks ass. The encryption is horrible. I can get into your system as an administrator easier than any previous version of windbloz.

Agreed. And proven. :crash
02_R1_Rocket 04-25-2003, 11:08 AM Who cares, it's Windows. OsX is the only way too go.
jaykelly 04-25-2003, 12:25 PM I'm waiting for their pure CLI server :-)
http://news.zdnet.co.uk/story/0,,t269-s2133899,00.html
If it's CLI only, and no GUI, then it obvious can't have any 'windows', so what will they call it? DOS2004?
DrEvil 04-25-2003, 05:59 PM It looks really good on PowerPoint! Reality is never quite as good.
EVER!

Not to doubt anyone, as I know there are code breakers that have programs for this very detailed procedure, but, Please do tell how you can do this! I'm sure since some of you act like you know how, then you'd be happy to explain your computer hacking skillz and prove this theory and I would love to hear it! I really don't think the earlier 9x OS's were harder to get into then 2k & XP are but please prove me wrong and explain. Calling you out hackerz!
I think XP kicks all ass as long as it's setup properly. Microsoft**** sure likes to have many background services hidden and some annoying features enabled at fresh install but when configured good this OS can't be touched for overall userability!
orgnoi1 04-26-2003, 06:49 AM XP is only a slightly scaled down in security version of Win2000 but adding lots of colors and a few programs...and Microsuxs backdoor spyware...
I personally hate XP...and wont run it on anything...I use Win2K on all my machines...

**Rules of the Guru section**
1. There will be no asking or teaching other people how to 'hack' or 'infect' other people's PC. Nothing about Trojans or viruses (or virii as some members here have declared an official 'word') or anything of the sort. If it's not to help someone clear a virus or along those lines, then fuggeddaboudit.

So, in other words, You Obviously have no CLUE :lol :lol
Seriously, I'd like the guyz to show up or shutup since they love to gloat that the OS sucks a monkeys ballz and they can break code that millions of bucks and many pocket protecting nerds have developted.
I'm currently working a contract for military bases since they've all finally stepping up to win2k with active dirrectory, and there are so many newbers in staging that start the process on one shift and dont finish so they leave their current users machine for the next shift to finish, well, all would be nice if they used the designated Admin account and password but some of them enter bogus shizzzznit and then the current shift has to pull down another OS image and restart everything! And this SUCKS major balls because most users have around 10 gigs of software to pulldown and install and the process takes about 3 hours just to get thier individual machine loaded and ready to use. I'd love to hear a uber technique to perform the admin break-in....:yesnod

I'm not here to debate the extent of my knowledge about whether or not I can hack PC's. I AM telling you that if anyone posts up on how to hack a PC, it will be deleted, period. As a matter of fact you asking about it violates the rules as well, so can we just drop it please?
R1Ryd3R 04-26-2003, 07:56 AM Dude, your a bit over reacting on this subject me thinks. Me asking about it is within the rules of your previous postIf it's not to help someone clear a virus or along those lines, then fuggeddaboudit..
I do need to know how to use this technique of getting into the administrative account. But, alas the Golden Rules Of This Section is greater then me and the egos of others so I won't continue anymore. I never read the rules here or therfore I would've never even asked. I appologise for trying to call out the gurus on this subject.
But, if someone out there can explain to me please IM me!!
whatever you do, make sure to get one of these:

2K in my opinion is the best op sys MS has put out.
LowlifePlayer 04-26-2003, 08:58 AM XP may be a rehash of the previous OS, but you have to give it props for the networking abilities.:yesnod

I gotta get me one of those Abe! :lol
Allthough I just can't find myself cheapslapping Microsoft that much because all in all they do have the most widely used and easiest learning OS's that can be had. Sure they are the Big Monopoly getting people hooked into upgrades for support and csky high client license costs but for overall spectums of scalability thier OS's are awesome.
