joemt 04-23-2003, 10:37 PM Well I was following Captain Dumbass here through the streets of lovely Seattle today and we come to a stoplight. Rated R decides to put the kickstand down and come back and talk to me. Well that's what he tried to do. Considering we were on a downgrade I would say that this wasn't the brightest of ideas. He proceeds to get off and walk away and the bike just tips right over. He does the pathetic attempt at saving it but the bike was too heavy for his weak ass. Funny how he lifted that thing right up after it hit though. Overall result is in the following picture and a hurt pride. I was laughing so hard I about peed my pants. Too bad that I didn't have the camera ready for this one. Oh well.... Poor poor Rated R, :p .
Phoshious 04-23-2003, 10:38 PM Ahh, that blows the 3-nutted uber monkey's middle nut. At least it doesn't appear to be a lot of damage.
Darkside 04-23-2003, 10:39 PM OMG that is to funny. Sorry that it happened but still damn funny. Next time just use the chatterboxes
That blows. Any hot chicks around that started to laugh at his ass? :D
R6 Untouchable 04-23-2003, 10:54 PM Sucks man...why don't you just pull up next to eachother and talk?
tidbit 04-23-2003, 11:01 PM hrm... Pat hope the bike is still rideable... It never looked good.. so why worry ;)
joemt 04-24-2003, 12:16 AM I forgot to mention that I was in my van, so pulling up next to him was not possible, :( . Here is what it looked like today. Notice anything?
tidbit 04-24-2003, 12:17 AM *taps helmet*
Well, that sucked! *shakes head* Just not the way I thought that bike would ever go down... Glad nothing (of importance) was hurt.
unknownpharoah 04-24-2003, 07:01 AM good thing Joe is "Johnny on the spot" with his digi cam!! Always prepared!!
Pat dumping his bike in a the middle of a Seattle intersection in the daylight..... PRICELESS!!!!:fact :lol
Rated R 04-24-2003, 10:37 AM ***** a Duck! Here I am sitting in the rain stopped at the light and I need to tell Joe that he is gay for not riding in the rain like a real man, when all of a sudden the parking brake on the Gixxer gives out ;) . I'm walking towards Joe's cage and I notice the bike going over I jump back to the bike but it too late. She landed on the left frame slider and foot peg no plastic touched, and all that was damaged was the left foot shifter lever, and I fixed it within the hour, so no big whoop.
Wound up being a good day though, got to hang out with Honda Bob, JoeMT, and Joe's boss. We headed over to Pike's Place Market and got down on some tasty salmon sandwiches and clam chowder. Then we also checked out the Fremont Troll and worked on my Gixxer and I showed the boys some of my patented rain wheelies, good times... :yesnod
tidbit 04-24-2003, 10:42 AM Guess yer gonna be at the DynoDay then :(
Oh.. Someone needs to setup all the various times/pickup spots for sat.. :fact
If it's nice (no rain) there's a good chance there might be a line at I-90 for the dynos.. :fact
R1minger 04-24-2003, 10:43 AM don't worrry RatedR, you can tell all of the girls it was from a nasty highside and impress them with how you saved it from being a total write off :D
Besides, it's just a GSX-r
Rated R 04-24-2003, 10:51 AM Kai I'm posting times for Sat and Sun on the other thread in just a few min.
Craig, to bad you were'nt there, you would have been rolling on the ground laughing. :lol so gay...
R1minger 04-24-2003, 10:55 AM I have been there actually. On my first bike I was putting my kickstand up and put the bike in neutral and my shoestring got caught on gearshift and down I went in front of a bunch of people eating lunch at Burger King :2bitchsla
PhiSig1071 04-24-2003, 10:55 AM lol, sorry to hear you dumped it.

Sounds like something I would do. Hopefully you didn't screw it up too bad as the gixxer has already had more than enough lashes with the ugly stick.

Not a scratch on the bike, just a snapped shifter and a bruised ego.
So can we chalk this one up to the dealership curse?
Also, you don't have any ego to bruise since you turned to the Dark Side.
03R1stuNNa 04-24-2003, 01:30 PM thats awesome ....I did such a thing once to my gsxr600 but actually left mine in neutral and she tumbled over...no frame sliders either costed a grand to fix....I was not happy....since my frame sliders arrived only a couple days later....oh well it was just a gixxer:p

Over $1000 for a 0 mile per hour tip over. That sucks, mine cost me just over $50 for a new foot peg which I thought was highway robbery.

Yes you paid about $80 too much... Most stores pay you to take their ugly GSXR parts off of their hands :fact

yes it was also on a slight down grade and retard me gets off the bike and leaves the bike in neutral and im running back to the bike from the garage (went to get my helmet) and I can see it in slow motion lunging forwards as it grinds across the asphault....broke my left side mirror off, turnsignal, bent my clutch handle, scraped both front and side fairing pretty badly.....very costly for such a fall of course it would happen to me =]....but i guess we learn from mistakes:beer
My guess for the "notice anything?" is..... Patrick cruising down the road with his Blinker on !!!! :p
Damn JOE, I was gonna take you to the TROLL !!! :(
Patrick, if you're fishing for replacement "gixxer" parts .... uhhhh... you're in the wrong neighborhood !!! :p ;) :p ;)
