Interesting day for me and the Plod yesterday.... Got stopped on the A27 yesterday for speeding and undertaking. I managed to give a good explaination of my actions, and although he didn't like my number plate and visor, let me off with the advice to brush up on my highway code:rock What was more worrying though was the sight of two unmarked cars. watch out for: T reg dark coloured (green/black/blue - couldn't tell) Volvo on the M25. Aerials and the dayglo jackets gave them away. I was doing 95 and they didn't mind but keep em peeled. Another dark coloured motor (was too dark to tell the colour) - Vauxhall Vectra - doing the rounds in Brighton at the moment. He had pulled over a gager who had obviously been watching the Fast and the Furious too much. No give aways on this bugger - blue lights were behind the front grill, other than that it looked completely normal. Was going too fast to catch the registration:finger Be good boys;)

Always bothers me, getting pulled over for undertaking, especially as most numbskull motorists think doing a steady 68mph in the middle lane from when they join the motorway until they leave is safe driving! Saves them having to use their mirrors I suppose as they won't budge for no-one. Good info though biaggi, spotted a white unmarked volvo on the M3/A303 to Thruxton last Sunday, 2 big aerials and a blue light on the dash, didn't clock the reg. They also had a camera on a bridge, but a nice lady at the Little Chef warned us about it before we got there. Stay outta trouble! :thumbup

I saw a green passat saloon pulling someone on the M23 near Gatwick 2 weeks ago. Plus, there is a dark blue mondeo ( not the latest version ) saloon that patrols to and fro along the A27 by my works at Shoreham. Beware dudes.

but the one I want is £700 (inc's a laser jammer). It's hard to justify the cost to the wife when: "If you don't speed you don't need one" :bs :machinegu :no :2bitchsla She just don't understand!!! I think I'm gonna drive her car through a camera, get a ticket and then blame her. She'll lose her argument and I'll get a new toy!!!!:lol ;)

Too pricey for me! ...plus we have Gatso's here and I don't think they pick them up.

I saw this right sneaky bastard the other day, it was a white Volvo, with these dirty great dayglo stripes down the side, and a funny blue thing on top...oh, hang on... Traffic ploice are right bastards, they are so hated that even normal police hate them. Nicely spotted biaggi, you could have done a lot worse there. In the words of Monty Python...you lucky, lucky bastard. SATAN

Bozo - they do pick em up. The GPS ones work brilliantly but the ones working on picking up the frequency they emit are best - will pick all sites (the ones on the M25 get moved regularly to keep you on your toes) and mobile ones too. fjorn - we drive/ride on the left and you should only overtake on the right. The only times you may undertake is if you are in slow moving traffic and the lanes are moving at different speeds or if a vehicle in front is making a right turn. Mmmm, wonder who reminded me of that:lol Satan - lucky, moi? cranked over, doing 70 in a 50 undertaking a bright white/dayglo Volvo (I really did think it was a 70 limit and wasn't undertaking - too complicated to explain), I should CoCo:yesnod :lol

In the UK you are supposed to pass in the inside lane, not like US where any lane is OK. I believe undertaking is passing a car which is in the middle lane on the outside. Sorry, haven't been home for 5 years now. It's all getting fuzzy.

Nah mate, Overtaking is on the outside (middle lane to fast lane), undertaking is is on the inside (car in middle, so you go in slow lane).... Or something to do with dead bodies. SATAN

Going back a few posts, what is this special 'laser - jammer' £700 detector - who makes it? Sounds a bit more comprehensive than the geodesy anyway. CB
