Just wanted to show off my new suit!!:D I got it from kneedraggers.com. It is an alpinestars SX-1. It fits great. Pretty snug, but it will get broken in soon. I'll repost a review when I have worn it out for a few times.

Quick question for you, what other suits have you had that you could compare this to? I have a Dainese Flash 2 Jacket and it's (in my opinion) one of the best jackets I have eer seen as far as quality of leather, fit and finish, comfort, and most important protection. The Armor is injected between the leather so you don't even feel it, and it comes with an integrated hard Dainese Back protector that attaches to the inside of the jacket, so you don't even feel it, but you know it's there. The only issue I have with this jacket is that it has NO VENTALATION what so ever! So on a hot day you can get mightly toasty. I have been looking for a 1 or 2 piece suit (probably 2 piece) that is equal or almost equal to the Dainese flash, that is ventalated. And I was wondering if you felt that Alpinstars fits that requirement?

I know they don't have any ventilation, but is the inner lining removeable? To be honest, I don't think ventilation in leather jackets make much difference at all. I've owned the Joe Rocket Speedmaster, Alpinestars Bostrom Replica, and now Alpinestars TZ-1.....and all of them were ventilated. However, if you took the ventilation away, I don't think you would notice...:no Leather is HOT, and will cook you in the warmer months...

I know what you mean. Now that I live in AZ, I needed to have a fully vented suit. I do have a Teknic jacket also, but I wanted the full suit. I had trouble finding a fully vented suit that I really liked and in the colour I wanted. So, far I think it is great. The fit is great. Very comfortable. It was a little tight around my calves and legs, because I work out. I expected this though. I rented a suit for a track day on Sun., and the armour was uncomfortable and didn't feel right. The armour is hardly noticable in this suit. The other suit was not vented and holy **** was it hot. I wanted to get the Dainese T-Age or Talos, but I wasn't ready to put out double the amount right now.

Yes I was selling it, but I have come to realize that I will not find a better jacket around. All that I have looked at were not as good. (Joe Rocket, a few Alpinestars, etc) So I changed my mine on selling. Also, my jacket does not have a removeable inner lining I disagree about the ventilation. I had an old AGV suit that was fully ventilated, and I could bear it on the hottest days when riding. My Dainese cooks me at anything above 90 (but I live with it) I do agree that leather cooks you, I guess what I am trying to say is some ventilation is better than none :)

Nice suit! Any update on how you like it? I'm considering this suit if I can ever sell my Fieldsheer. Does it vent well?

So far the suit is great. It fits perfectly. I don't want to get any fatter though. It was a little snug when I first got it, but after wearing it a couple of times it was great. I can't stand straight very easily, so if you are taller than 5'11'' I would think twice. Although, you don't spend much time standing around. The venting seems to be working great. I have not been hot in it yet. I was starting to get a little warm yesterday and that was about 90 degrees, but here the humidity is alot lower so 90 is probably more like 80 somewhere else. That is with wearing shorts and a t-shirt. That's about it.

What is your height and weight and the size of the suit? I can't find a place that has one in stock to try on. Have you compared the fit to any other Alpinestars suits? Is the hump uncomfortable at all? I had a Joe Rocket Speedmaster and the hump bugged the hell out of me. Sorry about all the questions.

nice suit, but did you get any matching ties?

I weigh 205 about, and I am 5'11". I know I got the last one in stock kneedraggers. I have not worn any other AS suits, so I cannot comment. The hump is fine, I don't even really notice it. The only thing is that, I have a hard time getting out of it after a long ride and it is hot out(sweating). I think that is probably because I have wide shoulders though. If you don't workout too hard, don't worry.
