1st day a riding a squid rear ended my buddies NSR in the rear at a light. They squid hit him on the right side then dumped his R6 on the right. When asked why couldn't he stop, he replied with "I thought you guys were going to run the yellow light". :finger idiot. sameday another sqiud no helmet and riding gear almost rear ended me on the freeway. at 80 mph. That's why I keep on telling people I don't ride w/ strangers:finger.

you seem to have some really PRO squids over there. Luckily we don't have them over here. Most here are OK. But cars though! Ugh! Some really just shouldn't drive. Good to not ride with strnagers. It's hard to always wait for them :finger

Sorry to hear about your squid troubles - it sucks when you do something to damage your bike but it's even worse when someone else does it! Lights can be a very hazardous situation for someone on a bike. Here's some things I do while I'm stopped at a traffic light. It probably wouldn't have helped your buddy but if it helps anyone get out of trouble....... 1. When stopping for a light, I always scan my mirrors to see if anyone behind me is approaching at a speed way too fast to stop. Just don't fixate on your mirrors and run into the stopped vehicle in front of you! 2. When stopped at a light, don't rest your foot on the back brake. Instead, use your front brake to flash your bike's brake light. Make sure to release the brake completely between flashes. It will make your bike more visible. I do this until I know the car behind me sees me and is slowing down. How many accidents occur because the motorist "didn't see the motorcycle"? 3. Always have a way out befor you come to a complete stop. If you are stopping behind a car, shade to one side of your lane or the other. If a car comes up too fast and won't be able to stop in time, you'll be looking in the mirror and you can bolt around the vehicle in front of you. Hey, better he gets rear-ended than you right? When traffic does move again, make sure to get back toward the center of your lane, you don't want the guy in back of you to think you're going to make a turn and just forgot to put on your blinker.
