It's all good Voodoo. I got your point though. I have a teknic jacket and was considering getting a 1 piece - I just don't want to invest in it if : 1) my jacket is more than enough. 2) I find the suit so hot and uncomfortable I don't wear it. 3) if I really don't need one because I'm not stunting and doin a lot of crazy **it.

I wont go anywhere on my bike without them, always full kit, I am risking my ass riding a bike, so I might as well do everything possible to help me heaven forbid should I come off, the thought of spending any more time in hospital fills my soul with dread.

You do not have to be stuntting to need a good leather jacket? The money you invest in a good jacket will be WELL worth it? Would you buy on of those $90.00 full-face helmets from Dennis Kirk? I DON'T THINK SO? Plus, chick dig a good leather jacket! D

I'm a proud owner of a Spidi leather jacket! I bought the '03 Spidi Passion Wind jacket which is almost 100% perf'ed. The quality of the jacket is top notch. Since I live in Dallas, TX, having lots of ventilation is a must during summertime. By the way, I also wear my jacket almost always. Helmet and gloves are a must at all times.

On running around and stuff I wear a jacket gloves and helmet. If going on longer rides or messing around I wear the full leathers. I have a 1 piece Dianese Techno that I hardly wear cause I like the 2 piece that you can take off the top when stopping to get something to eat

Yea, I want a good set of full leathers but I'm not sure if I should get 1 or 2 piece and which company to look at. I like the Spidi's I've seen especially the new one piece suit. The one piece suits look like they fit better but the 2 piece seems more practical (able to take jacket off etc) Also Spidi I think had some kind of warning about sizing that they don't fit "big" people - well I'm about 6ft 230lbs - is this what Spidi is talking about?

I wear my leather jacket every time I ride, helmet, gloves and boots as well. I saw an accident a few weeks back where these harley riders were just wearing leathers, idiots must have thought that their skin was more important than their heads now they are both dead.

For the money I can't seem to beat Rhyno products. I have their leathers and gloves. The 1 piece suit was around $200 and the gloves are $35. They also have a jacket that's right around $100. If I'm doing anything other than riding I wear a Joe Rocket Kevlar Jacket. Full leathers for a ride or trip where I'll be within a few feet of the bike. A guy in leathers looks good with his bike. A guy just standing around in leathers looks like a goof. The Pic isn't me, but it's the leathers I got for $200.

It seperates you from the squids in tank-tops and sneakers. Always wear me Teknic Lightning Jacket, Alpinstar gloves, helmet (duh), and usually my Sidi Vertebar Air boots. Other times, I wear a pair of hiking boots. If I am going for a long ride, where I am spending the entire day on the bike, I wear my Teknic one-piece. I have not gone down (yet), but I like the idea that if/when I do, I will be protected fairly well. I have also noticed that when I wear the one piece, I tend to feel much more comfortable pushing my limits.

Your right Limited, I'm sorry to hear about your encounter with the cage. I hope you weren't hurt. I have to stop thinking it's ALL about what I do and how I ride. More often than not it's someone else not looking or thinking that causes an accident - we can't afford to not look and not think. I'm starting to lean toward a Dainese - full suit - I like the fact that you can get them custom sized so they fit right and the quality seem first class and four star. Very expensive though - but so my skin. Thanks Brah!!

What gives??? I have a Dainese T-Age, which is freakin' awesome by the way, If you want to get a suit custom fitted, you have to go through the manufacturer in Italy. I met a guy with the same suit who had his done this way. You can do it all through their website. Don't go to the Distributor's, go to Dainese's website. You'll know you're at the right place if the site has an Italian / English language option. I'm having problems with my computer, otherwise I'd post the direct link (or at least type it out).

When? : Always Why? : They save your ass (most of the time) I'm amazed that so many of you guys dont care so much about good protective leather pants. My a-star (one piece) saved me from getting a smashed vastus and knee. When I saw the cut in my knee puck, I knew I would prolly never have walked normally again. Please, wear some good pants to! But yet again, people dont like being told what to do...the theory of Darwin still stands.

I wear a full suit AGV when I am on my Sunday rides. If I am just taking the bike to work or something it's just a helmet and jacket. The suit has saved my ass three times. However, it doesn't prevent broken ribs,Broken back or other internal injuries such as contusions on your lungs."don't bother asking how I know." Inspite of these injuries I have never had road rash.:) I would also recommend a back protector.

I only have a leather jacket (not a motorcycle jacket) it's more like a casual jacket that I wear when it's not too hot. I think it's better then nothing! I found this shop out side one of our Air Forces bases and these old Korean guys will make you a suit or jacket. They have pictures from motorcycle magazines. Only thing is...I don't know the quality of the leather and if they triple stitch. Language barrier is a pain! I also found a HJC dealer. HJC stands for Hong Jin Company and it's made over here(just a little stupid knowledge). Great products! I found a 2 piece for 6000W that like $500 something. Helmets are cheap as hell. I have a AC-10 (painted) for $150. I want to get this 2 piece and another helmet but I don't have the $$$ right now. I'm on my way home in 2 weeks and I have to safe up for my trip to San Antonio. Ride safe all!

Depending on weather I either wear my new JR 990 jacket or Phoenix jacket and either Iccon jeans or JR attomic pants. I know these aren't full race leathers but they provide far better protection than a regular jacket and jeans. The 990 jacket is actually very good. Lance

Have a Spidi 2pc suit,& would NOT recommend getting one. If your only doing local/city riding and not getting into any track days then yes they are a good suit..BUT after coming down a straight at 260kmh,braking and WHILE leaning over to turn the zip that connects the bottom to the jacket TEARS,its not such a good feeling:no On the other hand, their 1pc suits are great. A mate came off at 145kmh around a bend at Phillip Island and as far as his suit went-only came away with a few scratches and scuff marks. Cheers, :thumbup

how much of a difference is there between perforated leathers and nonperforated as far as heat goes. Also will the perforated offer as much protection if you go down. It seems to me that the perforations would catch and just tear the suit apart. Has anyone had perforated leathers on when they went down?
