Well, I just received it today and I've just finished putting it in. Overall it went very smoothly. Very good directions and easy to follow. The fit and finish of the product is great. With that said here are a few pics.

So, you have to remove your fairings. You also have to remove your horn. Which I am not very pleased about, but what can you do. Once the horn is removed then you have to cut off the remaining part of the horn bracket(I have not done yet). This is so the brake lines have no way on gettin caught on it. You will also need to get after market brake lines, because the stockers do not allow it. Then you remove the plastic peice in the middle under the lower triple clamp. Then place the top peice in. It should look like this.

Then the fun part. Remove the front fender. Get ready to drill. The last time I saw my fender without holes in it. :(

Place the bottom peice on top of the fender. Try to line it up perfectly. This was the hardest part for me. It is supposed to be 7 inches from the front of the fender to the front of the bottom scoop. That part was easy. It was a little tricky keeping the peice flush and lined up to position the holes. All in all I thought it worked out pretty well. It is not prefect, but I think it will be fine.

Then put back the fender and voila!

Pic from the side. Placing of the brake lines. I actually like the way these are set-up now. As long as they move smoothly then, which they seem to, then it's all good.

One more. Now off to remove the AIS and clean the beast. Yarrr.

Oh, I have not gone and changed my mapping yet. I am not sure what I will do. I am not going off and paying 200 bucks to redo mine, so we'll see. I might try the one Graves provided.

What are graves power expectations from the kit? vs the graves ram box that lowers the radiator down?

have you noticed the increse in top end and also does the kit make the bike run warmer?

and those after market headers? , did they kill low end power?

also , what did you get on the dyno when u got the PCIII tuned?

thanks , i wana get the ram box/headers but wana know if the mods are worth it,

can you reply directly to me please!

There is lots of good info. Try a Graves Ram Air search.

I"m wondering if that kit could be a rain catcher as well as an air catcher......its sure is a bug catcher though.

Great idea.(seriously)

OK, just got back from mt first real test drive. Holy shit is all I can say. I know every mod feels like a million bucks, but this is the real deal. Before, even with the Ram air installed it was strong, but now it is down right silly. Previously, I would do high speed runs. I would hit 172-174. Never more. Today, I hit it and she pulled so hard and so strong that I looked down and she was at 180 with some room to spare, in no time flat. This is before I have remapped. I also plugged my AIS and put in engine ice. The bike feels amazing. That is all I can say. I think for the fun of it, I'm gonna go dyno it again next week and see what the numbers say.
Great job Chuck! I can say that I am a happy camper.

I got the same thing and will install it today. I do not think you will see a power increase on the DYNO with this mod because you will need air to be ramed into it for it to work and the bike is not moving on the DYNO. Unless these guys have sometype of contraption to simulate air being ramed into it.

I am happy that you noticed a difference so I am now convinced I spent my money well.

Good point. I still wanna get it richened up abit though. They should make Dynos that attempt to simulate air flow for Ram Air conditions. Or do they? I know the fans are mostly for cooling aren't they?

Andreas Miko

The fans are just for cooling. Most race teams use a presure sensor and ride the bike and get presure increases that way. I think Graves uses presure sensors. Some race teams do have dynos with ram air simulators but they are hard to get to use.

well i am putting this on right now. and i believe that the 03's have a different horn bracket. because i cant make the delfector come into contact with the horn at all. im pretty sure that the bars would have to be all the way to one side and the forks would have to be fully compressed. we shall see i guess.

just thought i would toss in my 2 cents

Andreas Miko

Its not the deflector that get in contact with the horn. You have to worry about the brake line getting caught on the horn.

how in the hell is that possible? if the brake liness are routed properly. wierd. i honestly think mine has a diff bracket. it looks nothing like the one in the picture.

Hi Guys,

I know I'm responding to an extremely old post/topic, but what this is the first I've even heard of this product. I don't see it currently at the Graves Website, nor do I see any continued posts on it. Was this product ultimately discontinued?

Thanks.
