Hi, I got stock Dunlop 207's and think they are crap. Thinking about Bridgestone 010's but i do 60 miles a day commuting, maybe 020's will last longer but will i get decent cornering grip? Has anyone tried 020's on r1?

BT020's need any advice on grip i ride hard in the mountains and ride to work every day 100miles round trip still running the BT010's great tire wet or dry!! The tires are doing ok with the miles on them right now about 3200 mi. mabe 500 more might be able to stretch out to around 4000mi. which would be great for a high perf. tire!! however if the BT020's will offer traction anywhere close to the 010's that would for sure be the best way to go!!

I wouldn't try the 020 on the R1. They are much harder and take longer to warm up. I use the 010's on the R1 and an 010fr 020 rear on my R1100S. The S is of course much heavier and even then you have to wait a little longer for it to warm up. Once warm it gives good traction right to knee dragging but I wouldn't trust in on the ONE with much less weight and way more power.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply, I fitted a 010 front and 020 rear. Done almost 400 miles and find the front very grippy on maximum lean and confident hard on the brakes. The rears warm up quickly and corner good, way better than crappy Dunlop d207's, fast bends are taken at serious lean no problem but rears are prone to powerslide out of slow corners which isnt a such a bad thing. It will be interesting to see how long the rears will last, D207 rear lasted 4500 miles.
