This might sound like a dumb question but do u have to hit the clutch everytime you shift gears on a bike? Is it the same as a car?

Seinfeld 04-16-2002, 11:36 PM I would definitly advise that you engage the clutch when changing gear....... Do yourself a big favor and pick up a bike licence manual:fact and seriously take a drivers training course asap. Please don't ride anything until then, risk serious injury. Do your research:D bridogr1 04-16-2002, 11:50 PM You don't have to use the clutch, but if you need to ask that question then you have no business shifting without it. Listen to silversurferr1 and take a motorcycle safety course before you do any riding. Solidus 04-17-2002, 10:02 PM The only time I use the clutch is 1st to 2nd and for downshifting. Its smoother and more efficient for me to blip n' click. | |
