stock footpegs

Can someone please tell me how to remove the bolt at the swivel point of the peg in order to fit aftermarket pegs at this point ? thanks dave.r.j@skynow.net

You have to hold the peg and peg only while removing the allen head bolt that attaches the peg to the rear set bracket. I used a rag to protect the peg from scratches caused by holding it with a large set of channel locks (curved pliers) and then I was able to get the needed leverage to break the lock tite that holds the screw in place. This should do it. Let me know if you need a better explanation.
