And how many miles do you have on the bike. Does not seem to be to bad of a run. I'm curious because I'm going to run mine later in the summer. Wicked 04-18-2002, 09:02 PM 10.5 is good, if its a stocker, i would be happy with cuttin times like that. How was the launching...what RPM, etc? got time slips, :fact I would like to see how you did with your 60 ft times Olddog 04-18-2002, 10:17 PM A 10.5 is much faster than the majority of Wankers on this site could push thru the 1/4, myself included ;) Was that a corrected time ? What track? What elevation and temp? Nice run:thumbup GIXXER MAN 04-22-2002, 08:14 PM Lower and strap that bike and you should run 10.10s:D air8 04-22-2002, 08:20 PM i have straps, but havent got it dialed in. jRaskell 04-24-2002, 11:11 AM What are the safety requirements at the track you run on? At the local track here, you need a full suit and a kill switch harness if you run under 11 second times. Last year I was running low 11s (11.15 was the lowest, average was 11.2-11.4) on my 98 ZX-9R Hoping to break the 11 second barrier with my R1, but when I do I'll get booted for not having the proper gear. A kill switch harness isn't a problem, but a suit just isn't in the budget for the near future. NewZ 04-24-2002, 11:18 AM Originally posted by jRaskell

I know what a full suit is but what's a "kill switch Harness"?
I plan on Draggin the bike at least once to see what she's got... What do i need to bring with me?
Also, what RPM's are you leaving at and when are you shifting?
Thanks!!
Alan air8 04-24-2002, 03:32 PM practive drag racing at stop lights,,, when NO cpos are around, drag strips have a lot more traction, harder to launch there
leathers, you can get a full suit for around 500 agv.
or just go to a leather store and get a set of leather pants, that should be enough.
we have similar rules though they dont inforce them to much, jRaskell 04-25-2002, 10:50 AM Kill switch harness (or tether, whichever you prefer) - attaches the rider to the kill switch in such a way that, if the rider should fall off the bike, the kill switch is engaged and shuts the bike down.
With my ZX-9R I was launching at about 5-6k RPMS, pretty much slippin the clutch all through the first half of first gear, then just flickin through the rest of the gears at about 11k. sprocket_44t 04-26-2002, 01:37 PM How can i strap down the front end? what did you use to do it, how?:iamwithst thanks in advance. air8 04-26-2002, 03:38 PM www.schnitzracing.com
