Any Pics Of Black R1 With Cf Akra?EPD1056 05-23-2003, 07:16 AM Got a deal on a Carbon Fiber Akra full race...installed for $900.00...but would like to see it on some black R1's. In addition if anyone has the black and red Micron...how does the red match compared to the color on the bike.
Thanks... 03R1stuNNa 05-23-2003, 07:20 AM I had both the red/black micron and now the Akra evo system with carbon can......the red on the micron matches the bike very well...it looks like the bike was made with the pipe.....but I sold it because the slip on canister sounded like crap....maybe a full serpent system with the same canister would have sounded better....but I got a superb deal on my akra system so I didnt get the serpents.... Esp. the slipon. vcyclenut 06-02-2003, 01:09 PM i got it from someone on this board brand new for $440 shipped to my door, he bought it then totalled his bike, the best price i could find elsewhere was like $525 but i dont remember where, it was extremely easy to put on , it took about 30 min. the bike runs great with it, probally the cleanest running bike ive owned, bR1an 06-19-2003, 12:00 AM I've got a C/F Akra slip-on right now and, although I'm a die-hard Akra supporter, it seems to have made the bike a little out of tune. I have a full EVO system that I'll install next week along with a Yoshi EMS for tuning and a K&N. Should set me up real nice.
As for the installation, don't waste your money paying someone to install a slip-on.
