I am about to order a pair of tires today. I'm mostly on the street/twisties and would like to do atleast two track days this summer. So which tire would I be better off with? The Sportec M1 or the Rennsport SuperSport tires? What is the difference in the two?

Check this site out and I think all of your questions will be answered. It is one of the best tire writeups I have seen so far.
I just put on a set of Rennsport replicas and so far so good. They are a little pricey but what the hell. The Rennsports scored best out of all the tires tested, that works for me. I don't ride in the rain so wet performance is a mute issue just look out for wet spots. Sagerider :hellobye

i just threw some rennsports on my 03 and they are amazing. the grip makes me feel like a real rider instead of the poser i am!
no really, i can actually get over some without feeling the loss of grip that the stock 208's had. turn in is also alot better. feels like i have alot more control over my front end.
i hope that helps, i havent ever rode the m1's so i cant compare them for you.
lates!

Ditto for me. I got the 190/55 rear and man these tires are confidence inspiring.

like comparing apples and pears! M1 good road tire, blah, blah....rennsport, road legal race tire available in 3 hardnesses. Other makes do more in-between tires if thats what you are after, diabalo corsa, BT012ss, pilot sport cup etc. all high performance street tires fitting above the M1/diabalo/010 but below the full on race (road legal)tires
