CT? Yeah! I stay with my g/f near Thompson and ride with a bunch o' people from Sport Riders of New England (SRNE) - http://www.sportriders.com/ :jump There's suppose to be TONS of awesome roads out by my g/f's place. And the towns don't have local police, just staties. Anyway, track days are at New Hampshire International Speedway. If you check the sportriders url, there's a link on the first page. Or go here ... http://www.samnet.net/racingrep/Trackdays/Home.html PS - fire me an email. I'm aweful at keeping in touch, but when a group ride comes along, I'll send you a notice (they happen all the time). extremeR1der@hotmail.com :thumbup

so if you bring a bunch of friends to the track do you get a discount?

SpeedFreak, Nah, no discount. These are typically organized events by a local sportbike organization, like Sport Riders of New Enland/SAMnet Racing or Lady Luck Racing. They rent the raceway in New Hampshire on a Monday or Tuesday (weekends are obviously used to make boku bucks on races). These organizations setup well planned track days w/all the above mentioned facilities (techs, corner workers, ambulance, instructors/leaders, etc.) It costs more than a typical open track day, but it's worth it for how safe and well organized it is. I'd encourage anyone interested in being a better/safer/more skilled rider to do it. A more controlled environment than the streets and you can learn a lot that carries over to the streets.

In Aus it costs $140 (about $70US) for a track day at a world class track (Eastern Creek - used to host the 500cc GP before those dirty victorians stole it). Includes free drinks, on-site ambulance, flag marshalls, several mobile on-track marshalls, and the odd bit of free tuition. You get a 20 minute session every hour for about 8 hours. They also arrange a professional photographer and usually have on-board video units and modern sprotsbikes for hire as well.
