The full weekend is something like 1000 and up. But hey im sure its worth it. SpeedFreak 04-21-2002, 01:52 AM so you havent gone b4? BoYRaCeR 04-21-2002, 06:27 PM Nope. I don't have enough experience yet... i don't wanna be a hazard to track riders... by slowing down on some places im not supposed to or hesitate where to go... u know... all the newbie stuff. Maybe by the end of the year ill go... i really want to learn how to get the most from a bike. :) jRaskell 04-25-2002, 10:55 AM Penguin racing here in New England is 200 for one day, 400 for two day course. 200 to rent one of their bikes (with a 500 deposit that is refunded contingent you make it through the class without damaging the bike), 80 to rent rider gear (with a 100-200 deposit same as bike rental) They do have a race weekend package that allows you to take the course, get your AMA amateur license, and use their bike in the AMA races that weekend for something around 800-1000, with another deposit for bike and gear.
They have Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced courses. Beginner course is tailored towards beginning riders, assuming one year or less riding experience. I think they run all three classes at the same time, each class just gets the track at different times. I am seriously trying to take the course this year, but I've been saying that for four years and stuff always comes up. | |
