Hey guys,
I spent yesterday with the Police on a BikeSafe course (as in MCN) the other week.
Brilliant:rock Although it's a brief overview on how they ride, you sure do learn loads, I'm much smoother and safer as a result. It sure is satisfying riding around without touching the brakes much.
They are really cool too. They weren't bothered about black visors, small plates or exhausts (you should have heard some of the Harleys that came:scared) They promised no tickets either - if you took the mickey you got kicked off.
They sure can ride those BMW's, my instructor was an ex speedway professional and man could he hussle. It's really strange riding fast (over the limit in some cases) with a copper in your rear view mirror. Takes a while to do what he says - ride as you normally would. I made a complete horlicks of one corner and ended up on the otherside of the road:mad: - he was totally cool, had a chat, worked out what went wrong, no bother.
Brilliant guys (and girl), brilliant day, for 25 quid including lunch - do it!!!:yesnod
