Toby Steering Damper

Does anyone have a Toby damper? What do you guys know about them? Are they any good? All I know is that it's a couple hundred cheaper than a Scotts or Ohlins. :)

I like them, have used one before. Was on a bike when I bought it. I am currently looking to buy one for my bike, I like how the mount down under the gauges. Why not start checking into a group buy?

Be careful. I ordered a Toby damper for my '01 and the bracket for the fork attachment was the wrong part. Customer service was a joke and the manufacturer wasn't interested enough in my business to remedy their mistake. On the other hand, I have friends that use the Toby on their bikes and they love it. I like the product but not the management. Bought a Scotts and it works great for both my R1's. It's nice to kill two birds with one stone...

I see $300 or so online, and my dealer will sell it for $35 less than that. Have you seen a cheaper price than 265? I'm thinking about the Toby because they have a bracket to mount the damper under the instruments rather than "916 style" on the tank/triple clamp. I have a BoxR than has me cleaning my air filter all the time...

I can get it for the same price, maybe like 5 bucks cheaper, but you will have to pay for shipping. So it's going to be about the same for you. I think I might just go for the Scotts. If you change your mind let me know how much you find a Scotts for.
